Harrington even gets props from our rivals

They also pointed out Harrington's improvement over the past seven games while Pennington's performance has been dropping.

This was my favorite

Last 7 games-

Pennington:

187 att 112 comp, 1080 yds, 5 TD's-10 INT's, 5.7 ypa, 62 QB rating

Harrington:

284 att 166 comp, 1717 yds, 10 TD's-11 INT's, 6 ypa, 72 QB rating

If Harrington sucks, what does that say about Pennington? The difference between Harrington and Pennington this year is Harrington has been slowly getting better as the year goes on while Pennington is getting worse and worse. So yes, pennington would have won the starting job in the preseason. That doesn't mean he still would deserve it today.

He played great on a national stage when we were the only game on. I imagine that raised his stature considerably especially since I expect that most of the country hasn't seen Miami play since the Pitt game.

yea for those who havnt been watching us finaly got a chance to see what we are capable of, the winning streak has us hungry and we are going to keep on playing better as each player grows more confidence from week to week and the player whos confidence has easiliy risen the most is joey harrington

I know this has been said, but if Joey keeps improving week to week the way he does then in my opinion it should be his position to lose. Jacksonville has a pretty good D so lets see how he fairs against them. Ive honestly thought of Joey of having potential since day 1. When a franchise like the Lions who have thing expect any rookie to carry their team on their back they are going to crack(Ricky Williams). If Joey has us even close to the playoffs by the end of the season which he does now by playing how he was then I'm a Joey supporter all the way.

One thing us Miami fans have to realize is a Dan Marino is not common to have on your team but a winning QB is possible. As far as I know 4-3 is a winning record right now with 4 in a row. Looks like he's gettin smarter and more mature as a player.

GO MIAMI!

I remember reading crud like that when we had Bates as our stand-in Coach. hmmmm.

Harrington is not a world-beater, but he is playing well enough for this Dolphins team to win. He's throwing catchable balls and generally keeping the defense from being on the field the whole game.

Right now, the biggest hurdles to overcome in Miami's offensive production are dropped balls (these are outrageous), penalties and turnovers. Joey has done an increasingly better job of minimizing the turnovers. It's up to the receivers, now, to hold on to the ball. And it's up to the line to focus and stop creating stupid penalties.

Bottom line is this:

I don't think Joey deserves props yet. What he does deserve is a fair chance to prove that he's a good starting quarterback. He ain't Dan Marino, but I think he can prove to be a pretty solid QB for us nonetheless. Let him play out the rest of the season, then pass judgment.

I know, he's their hero b/c he edged the Pats once in like 4 seasons. That made me laugh too. And if Harrington does beat the Pats this guy won't have a leg to stand on.

aj feeley beat the pats in one of his few starts guess he shoulda been our future

Ironically, Feeley was Harrington's backup at Oregon. But at least Harrington's won more games for us than Daunte and AJ combined.
