I saw this last game. Even when we were losing Harrington was going over plays with the WRs last game talking about different coverages.

This is the kind of leadership you want in your QB, who is willing to work on his game even when losing. even this game you saw him grow more and more comfortable with his receivers late.

This is not meant to turn into another Daunte bashing but when he was playing he would have that defeatist look on the sideline and wouldn't do these things. Instead you would just see him watching the game.

I like the fact that our QB is constantly mentally in games. Especially after all the loses he had with his former team.

I agree. I have alot of respect for Harrington and think he showing great leadership and alot of energy. For a guy who was here late, learning a new offense, and who has had very limited practice with the first unit, I think he's done a very good job. We may have lost, but from a chemistry standpoint, I think that two minute offense helped him and the recievers get on the same page. What we need is a fast start on offense for a change. Hopefully some of that offensive momentum will carry over to the Green Bay game.

Joey played well yesterday, it's not his fault the WR's drop the ball when he hit them in the hands with it. But he has to stop the mental errors, that second interception was all on Joey. Hopefully this will improve with playing time.

I guess what i liked best about Joey in the game is when the defense got him the ball back with about 2 min. left to go he was all charged up on the sideline waiting to go back in. I believe that Joey thought he really was going to win that game yesterday in the last 2 mins.

Joey has looked just like Culpepper has. However, people cut Joey more slack than Pep...

What does that even mean though if you still continue to lose. Sorry to rain on the "Joey parade", but we're still losing and only making games close by scrambling for dear life at the end of every game. I want whatever QB is in there to suceed whether its Harrington or Culpepper....but more than that I just want us to win a freakin game.

Harrington did the best he could on the comeback and then Mare blew the kick late in the game, it isn't his fault Hagan kept dropping passes and Chambers couldn't hold onto the other pass that led to an interception.

Only 1 interception yesterday can be blamed on Joey(true it was really bad) but the other one was on chambers. Hagen dropped at least two easy catches and our safety dropped one of the easiest interceptions you ever saw. Joey is playing much better than Culpepper ever has for us he can't do it all. Our D needs to make some turnovers happen and our O needs to catch the ball. Mare needs to make the FG's he's paid over $2 mill a yr. That loss wasn't on Joey in any way and he's a huge improvement over culpepper at least so far.

I disagree, I saw it yesterday with my own eyes. The Wrs were being coached on the sidelines and Daunte and Joey were both standing their listening. When Joey stepped in to say something, Daunte gave him a funny look and walked away. I am not a Daunte hater by any means but that is the absolute worst attitude to have. He needs to put the team first.

Both of these last 2 games were winnable with Joey as QB - the team knows that and it hurts, but also bodes well for the future. Plenty of games left and I think this Offense will continue to gel.

Everybody needs to do their part with execution. That is what Saban was trying to preach last week, and again they failed to execute plays. Everyone picks on the INT by Joey, that was 1 mistake it killed ONE drive. The other drives were stopped by various other players making mistakes. That long bomb to Hagan in the endzone was a great throw according to Phil Simms, "IF that's Pennington throwing to Coles, he makes the catch".

Joey Harrington is NOW the starting QB for the Miami Dolphins and they're going to let him continue this season, trying to build something here. :cooldude:

i dont think thats entirely true. We are witnessing the flip side of the joes and daunte fans. The Daunte fans stood up for Daunte till the end and now we are seeing the Joey fans stand up for him. Either way we are in a deep hole. Im just hoping someone digs us out. At this time i dont care who it is.

False. The differences are obvious to me. Harrington makes his share of mistakes. But he is quicker, more agressive, has more energy (and it's contagious) and has shown alot more leadership in tough situations than Culpepper has. There is no question about it. Culpepper is stoic, emotionless, slow, lacks confidence, not aggressive and very uncertain. The differences stand out like a sore thumb. Anyone who says any different are trying to full themselves and/or are trying to protect Culpepper. The same things were said when people tried desperately to protect AJ Feeley. Granted, Culpepper is way more talented than Feeley, but the whole "protect the would-be franchise QB/saviour" thing is the same. Just because he was brought here to take this franchise to a new level doesn't mean he will, or has the ability to, succeed.
I've alway said I support whichever QB is in there. And I do and will. I was just as excited about getting Culpepper as anyone else. But my excitement has cooled. The differences are obvious to me and I have more confidence with Joey in there.
