Does anyone remember what this guy's deal was for? If he continues to look go in the 4th preseason game and maybe does some spot duty during the season, we might be able to trade him next offseason (although, the way he is playing, we may to hang on to him).

cheap the 1st two seasons than a BOAT LOAD for his 3rd, so he will be gone before his third thats for sure

All of this debate over who is better, we brought Daunte in to start and brought Joey in to be A BACK UP, a role thay HE seems to be completely happy with. The kid (although no rookie) finally looks happy playing football again. We are almost in the same position (although Joey is yet unproven and possibly still a bit shell shocked) as we were when we had Ricky and Ronnie in the back field. Now we have people screaming for us to pick up yet ANOTHER running back. If Joey does well, wouldnt most if not all of you be happy to know that we have a back up QB of his "potential" calibur? Why would we want to use him for trade bait (not bashing just asking)? Then we would be scrambling for ANOTHER QB just in case Daunte goes down. Look at teams like New England, Dallas, Indy those teams would be royally screwed. In the end, are we not a better team because of our Qb situation? There is no Qb controversy that I have heard of in the locker room so why as fans should we create one.

I would love to keep him as a back-up, but if he keeps looking good now that he is out of the Detroit black hole, he is going to want to start. I say we keep him as long as possible. I just don't want to see him walk away and go somewhere to start and us not get anything in return. If he has a backloaded three year deal, that does us great. Let him be the backup for two years, maybe draft someone next year or let Cleo prove he is a number 2, and then trade him or make him the starter in year three, provided Daunte gets hurt or such.....

I think we'll get to keep him for two years, and then depending on Culpepper's health we'd have to deal Harrington before what would be his third season with us.
