Anyone else notice that Rishard Mathews stole a bunch of reps from Hartline this week? If I'm not mistaken even at the end of the game when we had the ball trying to close the game out Hartline wasn't even on the field. Man, has this guy just fallen off the face of the earth after back to back 1,000 yard seasons.

The one pass that went to Hartline that got batted in the air and Clay (I think) luckily came down with, perfectly illustrates one of Hartline's biggest flaws. Instead of waiting for the ball to hit him in the chest and trap it there, he needs to reach out and catch it with his hands. Waiting for it to hit him in the chest allowed the defender to reach around and deflect it.

I can't stand body catchers, unfortunately, that's exactly what both he and Wallace are.

On his one reception after he turned up field he couldn't hit the ground quick enough when the defenders closed.

And that's the other problem with Hartline. He's got to one of the worst RAC receivers in the league, if not the worst.

I guess when we lose there's plenty of blame to go around.

hartline is not playing well. how many drops does he have? we need a legit number 1 though. hartline is not a two, and Wallace is not a one

great boundry awareness, good body control but basically he is Ted Ginn jr (in terms of mentality) with slightly better hands. hartline is a *****, cant find the sideline or ground soon enough and I cant recall him ever fighting for a contested football.

I agree 100% the problem however is that we won't have a top draft pick to get one of the best wrs in the draft, and we won't have the money to sign anyone in FA if a good one hits the market. With how good the D has been especially with the surprise play of Jenkins and our offense sorely lacking a big time wr who can create matchups problems in the red zone I wouldn't mind a trade up scenaRio on draft day to grab a stud wr. I have a feeling though that we're going to end up getting anot her O-lineman(a guard).

Actually what we can really use is a stud TE in the red zone.

I read an article that said we made Hartline the 20th highest paid receiver stew on that! At the time he had 6 career TDs!

It was Brandon Gibson. But you're correct. That was just luck that Gibson was in the area.

Tried to tell people the past few years that Hartline is not a starting WR in this league. Of course, being Miami Dolphins fans, a team that has seen a starting WR core of Ginn, Camarillo and Bess . . . we really don't know what a good WR is.

It's not a coincidence that Jarvis Landry has become the goto WR for Ryan Tannehill, he is clearly a much more talented WR and the GM put an emphasis on getting a "playmaker" at the position . . . had this been Ireland, we would of had Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace battling it out again.

Hartline is what he is, he's a depth player, a guy who overachieved the last few years because an emphasis on WRs like Marshall/Wallace was on tap and teams didn't respect his ability. Typical of #4 type WRs. But he's not a guy you want starting over long periods of time. He just isn't good enough. When we threw him 6 million dollars, it was one of the most laughable things Jeff Ireland did . . . and that is saying something.

I fully agree that Hartline is not playing well enough as the number two. I completely disagree that Wallace is not a legit number one.

Landry is going to be the team leader in receptions within two weeks. Probably by Friday morning.

Jarvis Landry... LIKE A BOSS!
