A monstrous run-blocker. Michael Turner should buy Harvey Dahl and Tyson Clabo new homes for the lanes they opened up this season.
He's a RFA this offseason. I know alot of you guys probably have never heard of him, but he really came out this year and had a good season for the Falcons. Thoughts?

Coming back? Are you saying that D Thomas will be reliable as a starter when we haven't seen anything from him yet?

I never said he would be reliable as a starter. He won the starting G job in preseason last year and was doing fairly well in his first game. The staff obviously thinks very highly of Thomas to start a 6th round pick. i would much rather give Thomas a chance and maybe bring in a draft pick along with Murphy or get a free agent at a reasonable price then overpay for a restricted free agent who in 4 years in the NFL has only shown one good season as he sat on the bench the other years. Dahl will not come here for peanuts since he might as well stay in Atalanta for that. Would make much more sense if we want to pursue a restricted free agent guard to pursue Nick Cole from Philly since he will probably not start for them next year so he is much more attainable. Probably could land Stacy Andrews since his market will be much lower due to MCL injury. just make sure we have a real doctor look at him not doctor suess.

Yep, restricted means we have to pay a lot to get him and then give up picks if they let him go. He's got a lot of talent, but not worth all the $$ and picks we'd have to give up to get him.

we don't know yet what his tender will be and it would likely only be one pick

if he is tendered at a 3rd or less then why not consider it?

Saw this guy in '06 with the Rhein Fire.. He showed potential there and has continued to be an effective NFL player but since he is a RFA I would say no.. Maybe we could wait until next year because then you know if Dahl can keep his good play up and if Donald Thomas can come back from his injury and be as good as he was before..

Seems like a guy that could really help out this team but not worth it.

Good thought though.
