the fact that Brees and his agent are using New Orleans as leverage on the Dolphins. His agent went out and found a team that would pay more than the Dolphins wanted to pay Brees even though it would be possible that Brees had no interest in New Orleans except for the sole reason of getting more money out of the Dolphins? I think this is all part of negotiations and for the people that say all Bree's wants is money and not what matters most, winning, you would do the same thing when looking out for yourself and your family's future. I think it is clear he wants to play in Miami. It is only human nature to want the most money you can get and he is not at the point in the career where he has only a year or two left and is looking to latch onto a team just to win a superbowl, not to make a paycheck. He did not make bank like some guys in the first round and first contract in the NFL make, so this is the biggest deal of his career. I would think it would take a little time to figure out also....wouldn't you? JMO

I start to believe that Brees do not care about the Dolphins at all, the only thing he wants is money, at this point i'am not sure about the guy anymore!

if we pay this guy all this money to sign and then he comes out and just plays awful he is going to get booed all the way to the NO

Brees has alot more than a year or two left. 27 is young for a QB.

This whole thing is just very scary to me now. It's a pretty big risk either way...... If you don't sign Brees and he winds up recovering beautifully and takes whatever team he goes to to the superbowl then Miami will be criticized to no end and be playing the "What IF'S" Forever, but then again....... If they do sign Brees to this rediculous contract and he Does Not recover from his injury well, then it could potentially set this franchise back for a while. Imagine having a VERY VERY large portion of your salary cap tied into one player(A QB) and he either cannot play due to injury or is just not good due to his past injuries. Then we are stuck in Cap trouble, AND Still will not have a QB. IDK, these injuries are just a scary thing to me and at this point I would not mind just getting the best "Healthy" player available and drafting Omar Jacobs for the future. But then again folks....... Saban and Co. know a hell of a lot more about all of this then we ever will, so I guess I will just relax and trust the guys who make the big money to decide these things on this one
