Bell is injury prone and hasn't really shown he can stay on the field consistently. Lance has been able to produce and is also an invaluable veteran. I wouldn't say overpay him, but his performance this year is pretty good compared to other safeties in the league.

I like what Bell has done, but I'd like to keep Schulters as well. I'm not sure if Bell isn't better to be a playmaker in certain packages than a starter, where he might not be able to handle the responsibilities every play.

Lance is ok in my book. Ive heard things like move Daniels to safety!!! crazy talk. Our DB backfield isnt the best and taking Schulters out will do more harm than good. Bell has been injured before and we arnt blessed with depth. Poole coming back is welcome but he hasnt had the chance to really start and prove he is going to be solid for us. Madison may still be around next season but who knows right now?

Safeties don't make a ton of money anyway, and I think Schulters has played well enough to be offered a contract. It could actually be Bell AND Schulters starting next year.

Schulters also made the Int against the panthers, Schulters' play led to the game-winning field goal.

I think Yeremiah Bell has some sort of situation for the future in Miami, dependant on his health.

He's developed into a special kind of role in Miami, which seems to be indicative of how the coaching staff regards him.

I'm not sure what you would describe his position as. He's lined up deep at safety, out at nickel and dimeback, and also lined up inside and rushes more then any of our defensive backs it seems.

Daniels is actually a versatile safety, he was put in the corner position because Poole went down.

Schulters came in late, into a defensive backfield that appeared to be in a lot of trouble. Week in and week out he has proven to be solid.

Bell has been a great change of pace safety,who can blitz and gives 110 on special teams everyday.

Pesonally I like them both. (it's called depth)

Tillman has even played well.

Our problem is not at the safety spot.

The problem we have is the nickel corner. Face it.

If we keep Sam and that is a big if. And when Poole comes back. Another if cause he is a greenhorn.

Why not roll Sam into the slot on third down and quite a bit.

We used to do this with Patrick 'cause he was our best press coverage corner. It worked.

Gotta admit we are a lot better in the secondary than we were last 12/29.

Maybe my point is a bit skewed and I'm ready to duck.

At least we are keeping it in-house.

BTW i'm fine with Daniels on the other island. He is having a good rookie year out there.
