I like it!I'd draft 2, and then grab a couple of UDFAs immediately after the draft.

I would go OL and Edge in early rounds and then double down again in mid/late rounds. And a couple UDFAs in each position also.I'd draft 2, and then grab a couple of UDFAs immediately after the draft.
True. I’m not saying they all make the squad and start. It just increases the odds of finding and/or developing a good one. We should also sit a seasons vet OL (cheap). The trouble with taking more than two is rostering them afterwards. You kind of figure that the first guard we take will be penciled into the starting lineup, but after that... they become untrained bench players... probably 3rd or 4th round, bench players who really aren't ready to go. ..and do you really want an entire bench of players with zero experience? That's a good way to get your rookie QB killed.
Now, if you can hide a couple on the practice squad...
Draft a third guy in the 5th or the 7, you might HAVE to roster him to avoid losing him.
I think you have to juggle two ideas... yes, we MUST improve our line, but we need all 8 draft picks to make the squad.True. I’m not saying they all make the squad and start. It just increases the odds of finding and/or developing a good one. We should also sit a seasons vet OL (cheap).
Mesidor is awesome. Would be great to have him in a Fins uni.Sieler/grant/chop is a solid building block and I expect much more from them under Hafley. Weavers stunts and creativity on rushes was awful.
Look at seattle. They had no superstars just a rotation of solid players and good defensive play designs. This draft looks pretty good for ends and edges right around where we have the bulk of our picks between 2-3rd rounds. Really want that mesidor kid but not sure I want to use a second on a 25 year old rookie. His motor is crazy though.

We definitely need a Jackson replacement. Guy is sure to get injured. He always is, nothing new there. I wonder what his contract looks like for release, or trade? I say let Strange take that position. Is Eich still on the team? Anybody, because Jackson will not play all year.Right now, I'd say edge. It's Chop Robinson and anybody guess right now. You aren't getting off the field without a pass rush.
Miami badly needs guards, but Paul, Brewer and Jackson (if healthy), isn't a bad start. Cole Strange was a pretty decent pickup, but I'd prefer him as a backup. I wouldn't give up on Savaiinaea, but Sullivan needs to bring in competition.
Long-term, I'd look to replace Jackson. Maybe this year if the draft falls that way.
I think Strange is a guard only, but I could be wrong. Definitely agree Sullivan needs to eventually find a long-term answer at RT.We definitely need a Jackson replacement. Micah Parsons. You are correct in that it is somewhat worrisome. I wonder if pressed on that question, what Hafley + Sully would say? Where was the great drafting on DL for them? I bet their cap space was so healthy they were able to splurge on Parsons and figured they were one piece away from a SuperBowl defense. They're all important and the only constant is the Fins have gotten them all wrong. More resources have been dedicated to ****ing up pass rush as of late so it looks more egregious but it's all bad.
There was doubling ... then quintupling ... to decagoning down on stupid at end with the Chubb, Phillips, Chop trifecta and their respective contracts/trades (some upcoming). I think that one wins with the help of recency bias.
The line has been tragic for years but looks to be on the uptick with Paul and the new staff. The new guys might actually get that one right.
The new guys also had to pay someone a bajillion dollars to rush the passer in their old gig so that worries me a bit.
Grier 2025- Forced a DT at #13 and panicked for a G in round 2. Rightly wanted to improve the trenches but had he gone Zabel at #1 and a DT like D Walker in round 2 he would have done much better, saved himself a draft pick and nailed at least one OL positionI would go OL and Edge in early rounds and then double down again in mid/late rounds. On Zabel, I pounded the table for this guy in the 1st rd. A few on here said it was a reach, but all reports from the Senior Bowl practices were very positive on him. Then I watched him in the Senior Bowl. He played 3 positions on the OLine that game. A can't-miss swing OLineman that we needed severely. Grier passes. Great OLine guy that played multiple positions staring him in the face. What a buffoon.Grier 2025- Forced a DT at #13 and panicked for a G in round 2. JES- 2026, working with a defensive minded head coach and has major needs at DE and DB and the ever needy OL
#1 - we might have some really good options we didn't have a few days ago. My priority rankings would be:
Mauinoga-nails down the RG spot until they dump AJ or he's injured again, then goes to RT
Bain- don't care about the arms, he's so relentless and solid against the run and pass, he's Melvin Ingram w slightly shorter arms
Delane-he's a real boundary corner, can't afford them in FA and I don't think this is a great or deep corner class
McCoy: there's two kinds of football players, those who have been hurt and those who will get hurt. His ACL doesn't bother me as much as others but if his pro day sucks, take him off this list and add the Penn State G
Round 2
Take the best DE or DB available depending on what you didn't get in round 1.
and instead reaches even more for the dt, followed by trading up for jonah, who looked like he was on ice skates during the senior bowlOn Zabel, I pounded the table for this guy in the 1st rd.
