Tannenbaum went nuts one year with the jets in FA and the draft to kick off back to back runs to the AFC Championship game w Sanchise.... Is this the beginning of a big splash/quick run at it (cause cap catches up) that Tannenbaum sold Ross he could do. Could we see another big pickup and maybe some movement in the draft to go grab the target.

revis, Johnson, AP?, cooper/white in draft etc...

I would almost rather see a trade down at this point although getting Cooper would be amazing. An extra pick in this draft could go a long way for the future

Why is this thread about Tannenbaum? Hickey is in charge of this roster.

I think Hickey got Suh because he transforms a defense. Look at the Lions. They had Suh and Deandre Levy at MLB. Can you name another quality starter? Suh makes playing defense easier.
1. Stopping the run without walking a safety down gives us more scheme flexibility in the secondary.
2. Suh's push up the middle limits the route options for a QB.
3. Suh commands more blockers and thus frees up DEs and LBs

Nick Fairley, Ziggy Ansah, James Ihedigbo off the top of my head are all good or better starters on their D.
