Haslett benches Brooks for rest of season

Struggling New Orleans Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks has been benched for the rest of the season.

“It’s not an indictment of Aaron whatsoever,†coach Jim Haslett said after practice Wednesday. “It’s an indictment on our record.â€Â

Haslett said he was replacing Brooks with Todd Bouman because of the Saints’ 3-10 record.

I smell BS all over this one. I kind of doubt that Haslett benched Brooks because of their record, I think he is doing it because of what he said last week.

Brooks doesn't even seem like he wants to play. He certainly plays like he doesn't want to play. They are 3-10. It might be good to shake things up a little.

Brooks is definitely as good as gone next year probably only to be replaced by a QB of similar qualities, Vince Young.
