Matt Hasselbeck (back) has a chance to practice this week, but Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren isn't optimistic he'll play in Week 10.

At least practicing some would show progress. Hasselbeck remains out indefinitely and Seneca Wallace will start against Miami. Consider dropping Hass if you haven't already for Brady Quinn or Sage Rosenfels this week.

Seahawks DE Patrick Kerney will undergo "exploratory" surgery on his troublesome shoulder and will not play in Week 10.

The procedure is to see if Kerney re-tore his labrum after he suffered the same injury late in the 2007 season. That would knock him out for the year. If only a minor injury is discovered, Kerney could be back in a few weeks. Darryl Tapp and Lawrence Jackson will start on the ends against Miami.

In a way I kinda feel for these guys. They lost there starting QB, one of their best defensive players is hurt and they have to travel from the westcoast to the east where usually west coast teams do not do well.

Well i think the Kerney is bigger than Hasselback. They wont have that aggressiveness in the pass rush and it could help the running game as well. Wallace is a mobile guy but i think our front seven will eat up that O-line. I think no matter who is back there we would have handled it pretty well regardless. So not having that pass rusher makes Jakes, Penny and the skills players day much easier.

As long as Hasselbeck is out i think we're fine. I watched the Seahawks play the Eagles this week and i have to say that they are just abysmal. They shouldn't be able to run the ball against us, and with their WR core very thin i can't see how they could throw the ball either especially since Seneca Wallace is terrible. I'd be stunned if we lost this game.

I really cant see them having a good pass rush without Kerney, and if we can just keep Seneca Wallace in the pocket and not let him run around I like our chance.:hi5:

Man I hope im wrong but id be careful about lawrence jackson. He might turn out to be one of the best DEs in the league. But no doubt the kerney loss is big

This is going to be like that chiefs pre-season game. Were going to murder them, just watch.

Feel sorry for them? I feel good for us! Things happen in this league, what can you do ya know? Remember us last year? I am glad we are getting them at this stage in their year.

Good eye. Him and Tapp are a decent tandem, and very young. Losing Kerney hurts, and Tatupu didnt play on Sunday either. Its one of those years for the hawks, they have been just swamped with injuries. Its ridiculous. My suggestion to the Phins would to be find Kelly Jennings every time hes on the field in the nickel, and go at him all day. Hes terrible.

They do still have Walter Jones out there I believe. We really can't take them too lightly.

and Mike Wahle, and Julian Peterson, and Marcus Trufant. Julius Jones and Morris have actually run the ball pretty well this year. I think the Phins should pound the ball at them all day because the Hawks are small on D, and then go PA. like I said in another post, find Kelly Jennings in coverage, hes horrible. on D, stop the run and force wallace to beat you with his arm, because he wont. btw, the Hawks have a really nice, very promising TE by the name of John Carlson. he can do some damage.

Seneca Wallace is terrible, and their running game sucks without a decent passing attack to take the pressure off of it.

It could get ugly.

their running game has actually been the only thing they have had all year. the problem with wallace is he wants to prove hes a qb (which he isnt) and refuses to scramble when its there. he sits in the pocket and tries to use his arm to try and prove hes a qb. he has basically refused to move out to wr even the Hawks have asked him to go out there numerous times.
