This guy is ripped. Saw in SI that he did 24 presses of 225. That's better than 1/4 the lineman in the draft and better than any qb I can remember...
 
Yea he is a strong qb. I think Jay Cutler did around what Quinn did last year.

24 reps is pretty good for a QB. I guess he has a little more arm strength than I thought. Everyone was impressed with Jay Cutler doing 23 reps last year at the combine. Did they time the speed of Quinn's throws? They said Cutler could throw 62 mph rocket balls last year ... a la John Elway. That's probably why the Broncos moved up to draft him.

Not even close. Eli Manning remains the most overrated QB prospect in this century ... :evil:

Jay cutler was my favorite qb prospect last year. we could have easily gotten him by trdaing our first and second to move up and get him(or even less).

I would have LOVED to have picked up Jay Cutler last year. I think he's going to turn out great in the NFL. He has the big arm, quick release, very smart, runs the ball pretty good, very tough physically and mentally. The Broncos landed a good one. He's one of those QBs who will be working his butt off year round to get better and better like Brady and Peyton. I'm glad we're not in their division.

I guess QBs are similar to MLB pitchers. The guys with the 100 mph fast balls don't have to have the big chest and biceps. It doesn't hurt though. Maybe it's genetic or those "fast twitch" muscles or whatever. If Quinn throw a 62 mph rocket ball like Cutler I'd be impressed though. I haven't heard much about Quinn's (Marino-style) quick release and the zip he can put on the ball. Everyone knows JaMarcus has that part covered easy. JaMarcus is going to look like freakin' Superman throwing that ball in the next few years. Imagine if Michael Vick had JaMarcus Russell's arm ... now THAT would be freaky. :D

quinns arm isnt close to Cutlers, though not many QBs are. and i think you mean Russells head on Vick, because Vick has a absolute cannon on his shoulders.

IMO, Vick has the strongest arm in the NFL. He just flicks it with his wrist and it's a 60-70 yard bomb. I never really see him throw the ball with full force.

I believe that formula is closer to this:

Brady Quinn + (Charlie Weis x 2 seasons) + Prostyle Offense = Experienced and well prepared QB for the NFL

Brady Quinn is not overrated. If anything, he's underrated at this point. Things will really change for us if we can nab him, I truly believe things will turn around - fast.
