Just saw this reposted on www.profootballtalk.com. GO HERE to read the story on how teams seem to be worried about going and playing against the Warriors. Kinda makes me appreciate the guys we drafted from there even more as apparently they kick the @$$ of anyone that shows up.! Good stuff!

Hawaii has one of the largest home field advantages in NCAA. I go to Fresno State and before 2005, I think we lost at their house 10 straight years or something. We had to have our best team in years to beat them there, and even then we only won by about 10 points

I don't see how they wouldn't just get all 4 an 5 star recruits..."Hey you wanna come live in paradise for four years for free and play some football while your here?"
"Naw, I'll go to Michigan and freeze my nuts off"

Because the 4 and 5 star recruits want every chance possible to get to the NFL and the big-name schools have more history of developing top players and getting them to the NFL. They get more TV exposure and probably more "perks" to go to the big schools (you know the things the NCAA wants us to beleive these players aren't getting.)

Good points except Hawaii is no secret anymore and they get their share of exposure. They also put 11 players in NFL camps this year.

Plus you could be in DII and still get to a combine, get to a camp and even still make an NFL roster.

Hawaii may not be as prestegious as Notre Dame, OSU or Florida but those schools dont guarantee you an NFL roster spot.

Scouts find talent no matter where they are.

Because they are still kids and thats a long way from home,
plus its hard for family to travel and watch them.
Just a thought.

these guys want to make the NFL and playing in a major conferance and playing the best teams on television every week, help them to realize that goal. If they succeed they can go to Hawaii anytime they want.

Many hawaii fans converted to miami fans after the draft and the new connection from hawaii to miami.

Not to mention these kids want to be coached by the very best to get them as NFL ready as possible. I'm sure Hawaii isn't exactly encouraged by their families either. Its gotta be hard to concentrate on football at a place like that.
