My choice in order would be:

Cowher
Schottenheimer (Marty)
Gailey

My gut is we are hiring Gailey.

Can't understand why some people are down on Marty. He is a quality coach and even if he can't get to the big one right now I think I would be happy to give him the chance to fail in the playoffs. Five years without the postseason is long enough. If we hire an unproven guy now (like Saban) then we could waste another three years. Marty won 35 regular season games the last three years.

Had to laugh when I read someone ripping Cowher for only averaging one 10 wins a year and only 1 SB in 14 years. I would take it!!

The guy I least want is Martz. He is even more full of it than Saban. Jeez, I could have ran a decent offense with Warner, Holt, Bruce, Faulk and Orlando Pace. We don't have any of those guys.

Come on the fins.

Gailey is not a college coach. Do you even know about his career, or do you simply presume that every college head coach got that way by rising through the college ranks, as opposed to the NFL ranks?

Either way, get used to "college" coaches being courted for NFL head coaching positions. It's going to happen more and more, as NFL personnel head to college programs to gain experience running a complex football program before trying their hand at being an NFL head coach.

Back to the topic... I'd love Bill Cowher, if he were available. But he isn't. So it looks like we're going to get Chan Gailey. Which is fine with me: our offense could use the help.

Chan spent 2 years as HC of Dallas, 2 years as OC of the Fins, and several years as OC of the Steelers. I fail to see your logic!

I want Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer, and Gailey in that order. But no way we can afford to give up #1 DP's for Cowher and Marty hasn't been fired yet.

Given all that I would take either Chan or Brian S. no problem, and one of those two are likely going to be our new HC, regardless whether you and I like it or not.

2) Mora Jr.
3) Tomlin
4) Cameron

I would like to see someone young who can grow with the franchise. I wouldnt mind Gailey so much but Papa S I could do without.
 
Everyone around here is starting to convince me that Schotty (young) might be the best choice. I really like Tomlin as well as Mora Jr too. I know Mora made some stupid mistakes, but he did a great job in his first year though and was hampered by having Knapp as the coordinator.

Basically, I just want a firey, young guy.
