Today was a tough game to take. Man I really thought we were going to win in those last 30 seconds, but just a little short. What really killed us today was the mental mistakes such as the penelties and stuff like that. But thats to be expected when you field a team as young as we are. I really feel were heading in the right direction, this regime knows whats its doing. Some bright spots from todays game include Kendall Langford(BEAST), Merling, Pennington, special teams coverage,Channing Crowder and yeramiah bell who did a great job. I have alreayd put this game behind me and I am ready to see us whoop some Cardinals A**

I like where your head is!

I agree agree with what you said.. we came up short, but I hope our receiving corps can get some separation and less mistakes, also keep in mind we have young team.

This is a good post. You are right now we get a cards team. I think we can get tons of pressure on their QB and their defense is weak compared to the jets they wont get any pressure and we can run and pass on them easier. let the guys have tomorrow off get them in on Tuesday and get them read yo go out to Arizona and kick some ***

It's too early to tell where we're headed. You can only assume that because we have qualified people in control of this organization then we will be heading in the right direction. But the direction this team was headed last year included close losses, frustrating defeats, games which we beat ourselves. That's all i really saw today......same old same old.

Good post, dissapointing game, but like you said it was a young team that should improve with time.

I didnt expect a blowout for either team, thought it would be a tight game, just unfortunate we were on the wrong end.

Also for all the mistakes we made, the fact that we were still in it untill the last play of the game shows something.

I only saw the first half of the game, but I liked what I saw, especially the PASS PROTECTION! I too think we are headed in the right direction.

I thought we did alot of good things today as well. We actually played a little defense today which is something that couldn't be said last year. As someone stated earlier Kendall Langford is a beast and he's definately going to be a good player down the line.

This is an excellent post, its what we should always keep in my. This team is rebuilding, the mistakes made today were mostly mental. That is to be expected, as was said earlier, with such a young team AND a new coaching staff. This team was not out coached or out played; which was a big problem last year. As with any well coached team, we should expect gradual improvement throughout the year.

I think there were some good individual performances out on the field as well. Merling jumped off the screen at me today. I was impressed with Roth as well, forced a fumble, was around the ball. Anthony Fasano was impressive. Jake Long had a couple of penalties, but the pressure was not coming from his side. I thought he did well for his first game as a pro.

I think it was a step in the right direction.
