Good interview for the most part. Hasselbeck says it all comes down to Tannehill but the players around him need to step it up as well.

The playoffs were there for the taking. Can't get swept by the Bills!!!

Says he realizes he needs to make a major improvement in his performance. Taking the initiative to make himself physically and mentally ready Worked out 2X/week with receivers mostly for timing - helpful even without access to the new playbook. Called Moreno's signing "huge" especially noting his blitz protection abilities... his signing is exciting for him as a QB. Responded to the lockerroom mess by declaring he and the team learned.. as a leader he can do a better job of understanding where the behavior line is, and more aware how certain players with their sensitivities need to be treated more gingerly. Ditto for what the coaching staff has learned. Overall, he conducted the interview well. No hemming and hawing... sounded articulate and thoughtful (which hopefully is yet another part of the maturation process).

I also watched. Here's some more summary:

When they asked him what he needs to do this year, he said, “I have to make a big jump.” He added that he’s been working hard, and wants to improve on production and wins. As you said, he confirmed he's been practicing with “several receivers and tight ends."

Afterwards, the panel discussed it, saying last year Ryan looked like a young quarterback who didn’t know what was going on around him at times. They also placed responsibility on Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline, the offensive line, and the running backs. When discussion turned to Wallace, they feel it’s not advisable to turn Wallace into DeSean Jackson, because they’re not the same type of route runner. They think highly of Wallace, and felt that underthrowing him was a big problem last year.

thanks for the heads up. hopefully it shows up on dolphins.com

Even if he only tidies a few things up, with improved o line play he will still throw less ints and 30+ tds

Tho personally I expect sigficant improvement like he showed last year

I am not sure Tannehill can really take any of the blame if Martin never told him anything. I can see why he is saying "mea culpa" but he really did nothing wrong.

In before Wallace17 makes arbitrary uninformed statement about pocket awareness.

I like that he knows he needs to improve now I just want to see it happen and happen this season.

It's a very informed and obvious statement to anyone who actually understands the game.
