This is a player that I really liked in the draft back in 2001. He was a fullback at Auburn that I was very familiar with. That particular year, I thought Seattle had an excellent draft. Heath had some injuries with the Seahawks though and could never beat out Mack Strong at fullback.
Based on what I remember from Heath during his Auburn years, he was a triple threat at fullback. He could block well, ran the ball, and caught the ball well.
If the Dolphins sign him, I think it would be a good yet interesting signing. Scott Linehan doesn't use a two back offense very much, so I wonder where Heath would fit in.
Hudson Houck, though, has coached in the "Air Coryell" system his entire career, and that's a two back system. The rumors going around was that Miami got him not only to coach the line, but to have some input in the offense as well. It will be interesting to see if Scott Linehan alters his scheme some and incorporates some of the "Air Coryell" rushing philosophies into it.
