Heat's Posey Suspended for Game 4

that makes no sense.


2 dumb suspensions handed out by the league, during the playoffs no less
 
So much for that article I posted earlier.
 
Normally you could argue whether or not a suspension was severe. But not in these playoffs. The league has been consistent in how and what they punish.

Goes right along with the way the playoffs have been officiated. We haven't seen the "playoff rules" to this point, which sucks.

They're trying to protect Hinrich from injuring his breasts.
 
Heinrich's stats compare pretty favorably to Wade's this series despite averaging nearly six minutes less per game. Shooting a higher percentage and averaging more assists, as well as shooting 54% from three and 91% from the line.

His D on Wade has been pretty decent this series as well.
 
Like I said in the heat thread...this suspension was not warranted.

I really wonder if Stu Jackson watches ALL of the games...

Oh well..so the Lakers are gonna be without Luke Walton and Kwame Brown?
 
Well I was right. Told you guys he would be suspended. Hell I am not even boasting...I wish I was wrong because this hurts the Heat.

Nobody was saying that he wasn't going to be suspended..in fact I even said that Stu Jackson's comments pointed to a likely suspension.

What the point of contention was is that he did NOT warrant a suspension.

Posey sure isn't acting very nicely about it, either.

First off, he's a liar--there's no way that was unintentional. He was a million miles away and couldn't get in any type of defensive position, nor did it ever look like he was trying to do anything but level Hinrich.

Then he and Mourning go into these diatribes about how you can't even touch a player in the NBA anymore when in ANY era of the NBA, that woulda been a foul, and a T at the very least.

It makes perfect sense.....I didn't see the hit but if he wasn't going for the ball he should of just been kciked out.....after he got called for it did he get mad and throw a fit? If he did then that's prolly why he got suspended. Another reason is Hinrich is playing pretty good and is up and coming in this league while posey is just another player (not saying he's not good or anything he's just not a player that gets attention). Also Haslem deserved to be suspended so that's not a dumb suspension. A player in can in no way assualt a ref. Whether it is verbally or he threw something even if it's unintentional. He set a bad example for everyone whatching so of course the leagues going to suspend him.

You and Blueprint where saying he wouldn't be suspended from what I remember...

He can't get 4 more though...on the 4th FLAGRANT by posey he would have to sit one game.

Great job by Posey...he has shown up big time in these playoffs...he has played great defense all series..if you guys have noticed.

CONTEXT. Prime Time. CONTEXT. Read the quotes again. They are made in the context of how stupid it would be to suspend him. The first quote was in response to a poster saying that you get suspended for a flagrant.

What I said about the flagrant fouls is a fact. that is the rule.

Nice of you to post when I said that he was likely to get suspended.

OH...did you not see that one? It's in there..I'll just assume that you didn't see it instead of choosing to not post it.
