As an Avs fan i am looking for some info and opinions on Craig Anderson. The only thing i am able to find are his stats from last year which are solid but i am hoping for some insider info and opinions on a player i am excited about my team signing.

Anderson was great while here. Anytime he was called to back-up Vokoun, he played great. That being said, after a few games he would be ordinary, and the coach would go back with the starter. I think he will push Budaj for the job, and to be honest, I'm sad to see him go. Hope he works out for you guys!

thank you for the reply! i'm hopeful he can seize the number 1 job, after all it is a sad time in avalanche country and us fans need something to look forward to!

I think he will push hard for that job. When the Cats needed wins down the stretch to try (once again) to make the playoffs, Anderson came up huge, when Vokoun didn't. I'd prefer to keep Andy, with Clemmenson, and jettison Vokoun for some offense. But alas, i'm not the GM, and there's that pesky NTC. Best wishes to Andy, but unfortunately, I cannot, in good Panther faith, root for the Avs. Sorry!

Hey Panthers fans when Vokoun makes a save does the fans say Koun, cause i live in New York and Went To Nashville To See My Fav Team For The First Time And Thats What They Were Saying. OT Win By Nashville By The Way by Peter Forsberg His First Point As A Member Of Nashville It Was Sick.

I understand. panthers made a great run in 96 though. the rat was one of the coolest things i have ever seen evolve in sports.

anderson was a very solid no.2 this year.. one of the best this year in GAA...

he played in streaks when vokoun was healthy.. he had multiple shutouts, i think we winded up in the top 10, even as a backup goalie..

one thing that sucks about anderson, is him playing in shootouts.. he has one of the worst percentages in the league, and it seems every goal went in... Maybe he gets better at that, i tend to think he just freaks because he is very nice on ice...

i was sad to see him go, but no way we could resign him and vokoun is better than anderson, so no point in making him our future goaltender..

i guess if he goes to any team, I'm cool with the avs.. Sakic and the Nordiques were my first hockey memories, before the Panthers were born. Avs have been my second favorite team since.. I still have an Avs jersey in my closet...
GL Anderson..

John- nothing to do with Anderson, but I just thought I'd let you know your avatar makes me want to puke every time I see it. I'm still bitter about 2001, and I always will be.

The jumbotron says VO-KOUN.........WHOOOOHOOOOOOO VO-KOUN and the robots follow when he makes a nice save

try and rationalize it in a way that makes it seem like a fantastic hockey player and human being, ray bourque won the cup, rather than a great team lost it. i am still bitter about losing back to back game 7's to dallas in the cf's in 99 and 00 so i know how it feels. at least the wheels haven't fallen off your team!
