The Miami Dolphins are looking for young hungry new talent. We need Playmakers at the following positions. Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Safety, Cornerback, Defensive Line, Center and game planner. Please apply with Dave Wanst..... I mean Nick Saban at 123 Dan Marino Blvd.......
Why do we get scored on the opening drive 8 out of 10 games? Perhaps if we were not predictable and changed it up a little each week the other team wouldn’t know exactly what we are going to do.
Why don’t we score on our opening drive 9 out of ten games? See the aforementioned answer to the first question.
Why do we believe that Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael are star players? We hope that because we have not taken an offensive skill player in the first round excluding Brown in I cant remember how long. We have to inflate their value to make us feel better about the team.
Why does our defense make a huge mistake that leads to a score at the beginning of each game to put an offense that has to be managed in the hole? No discipline evidenced by our continuous over pursuit that other teams have known about for 10 years and we can’t see.
Bottom line its not one persons fault that we are one of the 5 worst teams in the NFL. We just have no playmakers. Our receivers suck so the QB sucks, The QB just sucks period but Playmaker receivers make bad QB's look good (lets use Cleveland as an example Bryant and Edwards got open and made great catches). Our receivers including TE drop touchdown passes or turn the ball over on potential game winning drives. Our QB throws interceptions on potential game winning drives because our coaches wont run on first and 3. Our CB's drop interceptions and on the next play the opposing team gets a first down or a score. Our DB's suck because our D line cant get a sack on immobile QB's when we need game changing field positions. This isnt just today it's every week, sometimes we get away with it.
Basically the coaches have to figure out who we are and be that regardless of who is in the game. We need to define this team and stick with a game plan that will work with who we have. We need to draft and pickup playmakers in FA now that we have cap room because we don’t have one playmaker on offense or defense when we need three on each side. Don’t fool yourself that JT and Zack can hold up much longer.
I have been under the belief that coaching was more important than talent but I was wrong. This team was good a few years ago because of Ricky (former playmaker) Scott leinihan was a great OC because of Randy Moss (look and Minnesota’s offense right now without him). Yes even Tom Brady and Teddy Bruski won the game for NE last week with only two playmakers but that was two more that we had.
