Henne headlines subtle group of silver linings in 31-10 drubbing

Although i agree with most of the column, its really hard to take those afforementioned bright spots to heart. We got whipped. No turnovers is the only that kept us from being down 48-10. I still think we will end up with 4-6 wins....this one stings.

We're holding teams to low rushing totals because of one reason and one reason only, all they have to do is pass against our db's!! No need to run when you can have a field day passing the ball!

in 2 games, Miami has allowed 3.1 yards per carry, 193 yards rushing on 62 attempts. its not terrible.

the pass defense is miserable. opponents are 35-48 for 545 yards for an 11.8 yards per pass completion average. ugh.

3rd downs are the real telling stat. miami is 6-25 on 3rd downs. so far, opponents are 12-26 against them. yikes.

That sounds logical, but the fact is that Arizona did run the ball quite a bit (28 carries for their running backs). They just couldn't get much going.

That said, Arizona is not exactly known for its running attack, and the Jets, who are also not known for their rushing exploits, beat us up quite a bit in Week 1.

Clearly, it's hard to find any reasons for optimism at this point, but I do think that our run defense could be one of those subtle bright spots.

It's just too bad that the anchor of that run defense, Jason Ferguson, is in the twilight of his career.

1 game and you want a QB controversy? .

That's a bit of an oversimplification, no?

Especially since I specifically wrote, "barring injury, Pennington will likely continue starting for Miami; thus, this probably won't turn into a full-blown quarterback controversy just yet. Still, Dolphins fans should be pleased that Henne, a second-round pick from Michigan, looked solid in his first true NFL action."

How do you read that and then conclude that I want a QB controversy?
