Chad Henne was good again Wednesday.

No, I'm not going to write a daily report on his progress or lack of it. But I am somewhat committed to reporting how the Dolphins starting quarterback is performing when he does something of note.

And just as Sunday was noteworthy for Henne's fine play and Tuesday was noteworthy for his not-so-fine-play, Wednesday was another day on top.
"In the last four practices I’ve seen him make a jump," coach Tony Sparano said. "He’s practiced pretty well."

Henne on Wednesday completed a nice deep ball of 25 yards to Brandon Marshall during team drills. In team red zone drills, he dropped in a nice 5 yard pass to Anthony Fasano that was just out of reach of linebacker Koa Misi. He was generally accurate throughout the day.

Sparano, aware Henne has no real competition for the starting quarterback job, believes Henne can still improve despite not really being pushed by backup Matt Moore.
“One thing I’ll say about this guy is during the lockout on, he’s been really self-motivated," Sparano said. "He’s done a tremendous job that way.

What else is new. That's his biggest problem: consistency (one way or the other).

Henne sucks.

What are you talking about? He is consistent at being inconsistent.
I think he is going to pull it together. I'll step out on that flimsy limb and support Henne. I, I, I think he will prove people wrong this year and become what we had hoped from the beginning (or at least start heading in that direction).

I remember playing Arizona in Henne's rookie year. We were getting our ***** kicked pretty bad that the FO decided to sub in Henne. He came in right away and drove us down the field to score our first TD late in the second half. On his next drive, he did the same thing. His rookie year he didnt play that bad.

Then last year, he was horrible. But what was even more horrible was the play calling and the system we ran. Henning had to do alot with Henne's bad play.

This is Henne's 3rd year. A player should be judged by his 3rd year. It will be interesting to see how he responds.

ARZ had 2nd and 3rd stringers in by then.

Henne takes a step forward, then takes 2 steps back....then he takes 3 steps forward and takes 5 steps back. Henne isn't the guy. He can't even be a game manager consistently.

My advice... leave Henne alone. What persecute the guy? I'm not a big fan. I hope he has what it takes to win games this season. Do I feel confident he can do that? No. But we'll see what happens come opening day. The Patriots are a first rate team to beat.

Except that most of the reports about him have been positive, have they not? Not that I expect you to buy in to any of it. But you're acting like he's only had a few good moments, but mostly bad.

And some of you guys just are not giving the guy a chance. Seems like whenever there's good news out there for him, you guys just go "so what? he'll suck it up eventually". You say Henne isn't the guy, but face the fact that he's the starter. I was about to ask if you'd rather hear about him throwing 5 ints and 1 TD in the scrimmage thinking that obviously you'd prefer that he would do well. But seems more n more than some ppl want him to fail just so that they can be right.

Not saying I'd go all-in with Henne. But it is what it is, I hope he does well. I like hearing that he does well in practice. Everyone knows that it's the games that count, but you gotta start somewhere and if he's not ready now, at least he has 1 month to get ready.

Probably because he does have more bad moments than good ones. I don't care of he's really good or really bad in practice. I don't care what Henne does anymore. That CLE game last season was the last straw. IF Henne does well this season, great. If he's his usual self again than Henne should be out of chances. How many times after every game he screws up do we have to hear him say "I got to make that throw"?

How many times do we have to hear some of you guys claim how much he will suck this season before he even gets to play a game in this new offense?

I agree. If it doesn't happen for him this year then it's time to bring in someone else. Yes, I would have liked for the FO to bring in someone a little more legit than Matt Moore to develop so that in case Henne fails this year, we'll be that much more prepared next year. But Henne's the guy now. If you're just going to answer every positive report about Henne with "so what?", then what's the point in you even reading anything about Henne until the games start?

how the frick you get that? He has three good practices in a row then one bad and then another good one. dont give me last year. last year this team had probs from within.
