I know i will get ripped for this thread, but why is everyone saying Henne next and not Beck. I have seen alot on either during this year but. I seen alot of henne college games and did not think he is nothing more than a backup. I think we stay with Pennyfor a year or two, untill we draft or trade for a real QB

No offense, but I trust Parcells over you, and he decided to spend a 2nd round pick on him. Bill Polian, another highly President/GM, thought Henne was the best QB in the '08 draft.

Que the children.

first trade ronnie and cut porter . . . now this. U are out to aggrivate people today arent you?

Henne is better than Beck. Anybody who watched the preseason games, and read the practice reports knows this.

I'd keep Beck for back up purposes. But i like what i saw from Henne in the pre season.

I would let them fight it out in camp and the best man win. I wouldnt write Beck off so soon.

huh.....season's over.

And now the offseason. What better way to kick it off than with the first of a million Beck threads.

Here's to another long offseason boys....:beer1:

I tend to agree that Beck gets unfairly discounted whenever QB talk is brought up but many believe that he had his chance last season with the handful of starts he was given.

The front office seems to think enough of him to retain him as the 3rd string QB but the problem for Beck is that he's just not going to get many snaps. He would have to be clearly better than the Chad's and even that may not be enough. Plus he will be 28 sometime next season so he doesn't have the luxury of being a backup for 4 or 5 seasons waiting for his chance.

You like what you saw from henne in preseason? Did you see Becks rookie preseason? It was better than Hennes and look where we are now, so I wouldnt put to much on that.

Your threads so far have been pretty awful. Do you think Sparano knows what he's doing? If you do, then you wouldn't wonder why a guy that hasn't been active all year would be considered better than Henne.

To keep our opponents on their toes?
