Has anyone else noticed that Chad has a knack for walking straight into the pass rush. And there were several plays where there was clearly a blitz coming and he did nothing in terms of adjusting the protection or just getting rid of the ball. I would think that a 4 year starter in college would have a better feel for the pocket. He didn't play that bad but as he matures I hope the coaching staff will spend a little more time emphasizing the importance of knowing where the pressure is going to be, pre-snap.

i dont get it because he did a great job the last jets game but idk. as he matures he will get better

I'm not sure what was wrong with him today, he seemed to handle the blitz fine last time. I won't lie, Henne didn't have a good game. He never threw the ball away, he had a TON of overthrows, and he made some scary throws into tight coverage, but he never turned the ball over, which is what you normally get when a QB doesn't play well, so props to him for that.

We was really playing safe, holding on to the ball, overthrowing, etc.

I've noticed it too but I'd rather him take a sack then do something stupid like throw a prayer with our WRs out there or hold the ball loose with one hand. All about taking what you can get and making the best of it.

I agree. I place the blame more on the o-line. Henne made the necessary adjustments. I think he played very smart. I would take a sack over an int. or a penalty any day.

held on to the ball way to long its been a nack on him that i have brought up before. hopefully with more experience at this level he changes that

I disagree. I think the O-Line did an adequate job, not great, but he had time to throw he just held on to it for too long. And like it was stated before, Henne looked like he was walking into the blitz a lot.

The problem is, a few of those sacks came either out of the pocket, or from Henne taking a sack when he easily could ran out of the pocket. He should've threw the ball away. As he matures, he'll learn to do just that.

At least he doesn't fumble when he gets sacked.

I think him holding on to the ball to long, mite have something to do with our average at best wr's not gettin open. Im sure with more time, he will develop the pocket presence. just needs experice, and we know he is a hard worker. So im sure he will work on it in practice, and with experence the better pocket precence will come. I like what i see from him so far.

Anyone else notice that they always rolled away from Long on pass plays? Or the general weakness of the OL in pass-blocking? this is a huge weakness, imo.

Well, yes, coaches generally roll a right-handed quarterback away from the left tackle :err:

He walks into sacks, and when he reads a blitz instead of throwing a hot route he just runs as far backwards as he can. He is a *******.
