Henning-less Henne- 0-2, 19 Points Per Game

We cannot run the ball on 1st down. The only way we were running was when we tried to fool the defense in passing formations using the draw and delays. The oline is horrible....just horrible. If Henne had a legit running game and better protection, the points would be on the scoreboard. Stop blaming Henne for Ireland and Sparano short comings.

Henne didn't give up 34 points to NE and 23(should have been 30) to the Texans.
 
Nice, taking an average of 2 games to support a flawed argument.
 
Henne looks improved from last year, and he isn't the reason we are losing, but he still has trouble in the red zone which is a huge issue. He has to address it unless he wants people chanting for Luck.
 
Henne has shown that he isn't the problem. But he has also shown he's not the solution.

He can win us some games, he can do alot of things right...but if we have a chance at a Andrew Luck or Matt Barkley, you pull the trigger.
 
this team needs a defense and i HATE HATE HATE to say it but a defense like the JETS a defense that CAN turnover the ball

It seems that the 10% of the fans here who love Tony are trying to blame the fans, Henne, person A, alien B, etc...and not Tony/Ireland...
 
Despite Daniel Thomas 100+ yards today, teams don't respect Miami's goal line running so it makes it harder on Chad when teams are playing the pass every down in the redzone.

Don't think I don't blame the Ireland/Sparano regime for hitching their hopes on a second round QB.

But seriously, pretty much every astute poster on here recognizes that Henne is crap in the red zone. And if you don't understand why the red zone is pretty much crucial to success in the NFL, you may not recognize that scoring more points than the other team is how you win the game.
 
Are we like the only NFL team that never throws to a TE after a play action. how does every other team sneak TE's out of that formation into the end zone? Henne clearly lacks touch and that is magified in the red zone, as it is on quick slants when he hits guys in the thighs. We are counting on Henne to win games this year, and his production in the red zone is NOT cutting it.

We didn't even get in the position to goal line run. Our red zone chances today amounted to Henne standing at the 15 and throwing crappy passes all over the place. We had to get to the 5 or so for Thomas to be a realistic option.
