I don;t even bother reading the "Dolphins tradiung JT" threads anymore.
I've known all along the Fins will not trade Taylor. Why would they? No one has ever given me a good reason on why we should trade JT. The only response I get all the time is "because he is old". The only thing getting old is that same "old" lame excuse.
Taylor himself came out saying he feels he is in the best shape of his life with only about 5.5 % body fat. He has to stay very lean for the dancing competition. The same finfans that want JT traded will be kicking themselves in the butt when he is terrorizing the league once again this upcoming season.
So why would we need to trade Taylor? There's no sense in that. Dan Marino was old and no one wanted him traded at any point. :shakeno:
It's very simple.
JT has a few more years left.
That's if he wants to stay in the NFL as there have been many rumors of him tiring of the NFL and wanting the cush life of a Hollywood actor.
Lets stay on course with JT wanting to stay in football for now.
Let's take JT's side of this. Why on earth would he WANT to stay here?
It's clear as day this team is a couple of years away from contending and that's if everything falls right with young talent on the team, in the next couple of drafts and with FA.
In all likelihood, by the time this team is ready JT will be pretty much done.
Seeing that, if he wants to continue to play, as a top talent, why would he himself not want to be traded to a team set to contend?
As for the Dolphins, why would they trade him?
Again it's very simple.
JT does nothing for the future of this team period.
The Phins have the choice of watching a top but talent in the twighlight of his career help them maybe reach .500 and then end up with nothing when the team is ready to compete or trading him now and getting a young prospect that will develop as this rebuilding team does.
It's plain as day to me.
If we keep JT it's a bad move for both parties.
