As the Dolphins continue their pursuit for a franchise-altering quarterback, Flores and general manager Chris Grier hope Fitzpatrick can play a special role during their extensive rebuilding process.

They believe Fitzpatrick has the ability to galvanize his teammates and the Dolphins fan base, while serving as a bridge between former starter Ryan Tannehill and a rookie quarterback drafted in 2019 and/or 2020.

I was thinking he will be a crash test dummy behind that Oline of ours.

Might want to wait and see what that OL looks like in September. You also now have a QB with pocket presence and that will make a difference.

The receivers will be happy Bc they have a qb who is going to allow them to make plays. The oline is going to be happy since they won’t have to be absolutely perfect to avoid getting the qb sacked. The fans will be happy because the offense will be exciting. The defense will be happy since they won’t be on the field all the time.

That's a lot of wishful thinking there. We're gonna find out how good or bad Fitzpatrick is real quick in 2019..

We already know.

Lights out for 2 1/2 to three games.

Mediocre for 10 games.

The worst thing you've ever seen for the rest.

We’ve watched the other guy for 6 years. I don’t think Fitzpatrick has ever had a game as bad as any of the last three games we saw at qb. Fitzpatrick’s Any/a for the last 5 seasons is better than the best qb play we have watched since Pennington in 2008.
