it appears herm edwards is out as jets coach......with aging players, and without a coach, their franchise looks like they have a long way to rebuild. my question is: why would you leave new york for kansas city? and dont try and tell me this shouldnt be posted here, because it has alot to do with the dolphins!
 
This shouldn't be posted here.. lol.. just kidding.. I guess Herm Feels that KC's offense is league's ahead of New York's and that with his Defensive background, he can kind of follow in Tony Dungy's footsteps and raise their defensive play up even with their offensive production.. also.. alot of reports had the Jets outright firing Herm, so I guess he figured if he was going to get canned, he'd find another job ASAP.. those are my two points about the situation
 
he asked woody johnson (owner) for an extension and didn't get it, thus showing him that they didn't want him there any longer.

if the jets and chiefs couldn't agree on a deal, he would have been fired anyway.

and the cheifs cause carl peterson (pres/gm) gave him his first job i think and they are close friends.
 
This is, in my belief, great news. I think it signifies a good couple of years before the Jets could think about being contenders again.
 
The chiefs are done... They brought in a defensive guy way to late. Their tackles are about to retire, their QB is 35 with no back-up. Priest is almost done, T. Gonzalez is starting to decline. They have no recievers. The only thing they have is Larry johnson. Theri defense has sone young promise, but by the time they get it together it will be time to rebuild the Offense. The jets AND the Chiefs are rebuilding...Might as well get paid well if you have to rebuild...

I would leave the Jets to go coach the Iraq Kabal (Bagdad's official football team). That's how deep my Jethatred runs. (yea, 1 word, it'll be added to the dictionary in a year or two, you saw it here first. Jethatred. Capital J)
