I'm tired of seeing people say that he is only back for the money. I'm not saying that you people are wrong, but if you make the maximum salary 500,000 a year next year, we wouldnt have a NFL season because all the players are playing for the money.

As I posted in another thread a little while ago, when do you generally see the best results for a player? The Contract Season!!! Because the player is playing for more money. Just quit the he's only back for the money stuff!

He is only back for the money! say what you want, but thats the fact jack!

3 kids that we know of, trips all over the place, who the heck would hire him in the real world? He had no choice! Repair his image and go out on good terms was his only choice for a future (a future with earnings!!!)

What is your point with this post? Of course players are in it for the money. The NFL is a business. That's the problem with Ricky coming back...in a normal business he wouldn't have the opportunity to screw the organization twice.

I don't care why he's on the field, i care more about the results. I don't really believe that Ricky would step on the field if he wasn't ready to give his all again, cause he knows how brutal the game is.

No, I think he means that if the Dolphins didnt threaten to sue him for $8.6 million, hed still be smoking weed in a tent in the Outback. Thats a bit different than saying "Of course players are in it for the money".

Perhaps. I think the Dolphins would be better off if he was still on the pipe and not on the field.

heck, i only come to work for the money!! hmm, i think it is ok he works for money!

He's gotta make a living. Most of the people that I know...99.9% to be exact, dislike their jobs and work because of the money.

Of that 99.9% I would say more than 80% are very good at what they do despite the fact that they'd rather be relaxing on some island instead of punching a clock for someone who's not as smart as you.

As long as Ricky is somewhat like the person who may not totally like his job but understands that 1 he HAS to do it to live the type of life he wants and 2 do it well or he wont have a job or get paid more, that's fine with me.

I could care less about a person's intentions. It's a job for him.

Of course he and every other player is doing what they do for the money. But not too many other players quit on their teams, despite the money or lack thereof...No one can question that RW is back to try to satisfy the arbitrator's judgement and make the best money that he can. There's nothing wrong with that, what is wrong/being questioned is whether he will go off gallavanting (sp) again or not and exactly how dedicated will he be in his "comeback" effort and whether he can return to his former playing ability. He has never been blamed for "playing for the money," he has been blamed for quitting on his teammates and organization. Only time will be able to tell...

Come on you guys, you all know $500,000 can buy enough crack for ricky. Hes gonna play for a few more years, pay off his 8mil debt, make a couple million dollors then take off again, hopefully Nick Saban will get smart and get rid of this useless player. We could use him to get a half decent qb. We need one seeing we havnt had one since Dan Marino lost it after the 1995 season. Just my opinion on the whole situation.
