Watched the interview he had with Congemi and Hewitt looks a lot bigger than he did last season. Looks like he's been hitting the weight room hard. Also saw him during off season conditioning and he has some serious biceps.

I was impressed with him last year

My prediction is that he will be our best lb

I'm not as enthusiastic about the LB unit as some are here, I guess... I see injury-prone backups as starters with 3rd-4th stringers as core depth in that group.

Depending on guys like Hewitt and Misi is like last year depending on Dallas Thomas and Albert. Lost that battle before it even started, imo.

Hewitt looked really good to me while on the field last year. If he has indeed beefed up a bit, and can learn the new scheme, I'd love to see him on the field.

I don't hate Koa, but he makes zero impact plays. No strips, no sacks, no fumbles, no interceptions, no game changing high impact-make you wanna think twice- hits, nothing....

I really hope he pushes into the ones this training camp. Not like we have allstars

He's definitely a solid linebacker. He never makes plays as well but that isn't the problem. The real issue is he is hurt more than not.

He's a backup caliber linebacker at best and hopefully will be relegated mostly to special teams.

Hewitt made some plays last year. He could be a player. If Kiko plays like he did in 2013 then the other backers will all be better.

Hewitt made real progress last year...though the naysayers refuse to acknowledge anything positive.

Hopefully....Hewitt will take the next step and help solidify this linebacker corp.

If Alonso makes the full comeback...which I believe he will...you have Jelani Jenkins at WLB who is solid...we are not as weak as the negative nancy's make us out to be.

Of all of our new lb's last year he stood out the most - I expect him to be the impact player we haven't seen at LB since Thomas- and I have no idea why but something about him reminds me of the steelers LB's style and attitude. I have high hopes that our LB issues are solved Hewitt/Kiko/Jenkins

Hewitt was about our only LB last season who could put some physical hits on ball carriers. He looks closer to 250 now. Was listed at 235 last year but is obviously heavier than that now.

True. The key is obviously Alonso who, if healthy, can be a difference maker and lift the entire unit. Jenkins and Misi are just okay in my book, but neither is terrible. Hewitt could beat out Jenkins.

hewitt made more plays than i can ever remember Misi making since Ive been watching...and I haven't missed a game. He also had at least two int called back by penalty
