I am truly sorry that once again Portugal in PKs was the end for your team.

I must say that today England erased a lot of dislike I had for this team. For decades you went to the WC and European Cup with the attitude that you are the best and the world owes you one. Today, your team has shown class, absolute class, fought bitterly but fair, played an excellent game and deserved to go on. Your fans were admirable cheering them on to the very last second. At the end I found myself rooting for England.

No shame for you and your team, be proud.

BTW: it is much easier rooting for a team without Beckham. And you played much better without him.

Absolutely gutted to lose in the 1990 semis on penalties, in 1998 on penalties to Argentina, to Portugal in the Euro 2004 1/4 finals on penalties and now today. Horrific.

Feel sorry for some of the fans though , although there are still to many arseholes that the real fans need to stop causing trouble. Self policing is the way forward , Scotland were once the worlds worst for hooliganism we sorted it , I hope that England can as well.

TBH Eriksson should be shot , why only 4 strikers, why 2 who obviously werent 100% fit, why pick a teenager who hadnt played a first team game in the premiership over guys like Defeo , Beattie etc who wouldve been an option. Dont think its gonna get any better with McLaren in charge as his brand of football at Middlesborough while mildy effective is totally boring to watch.
