Here are a few things I’d like make you aware of.
1. Have the players stand with the legs a little wider than shoulder length, reach there arms out then up and bend at the waste and reach straight down to the ground without bending their knees. They can just hang there for awhile or rock back and fourth to add a bit.
2. Sit on the ground with both legs straight and toes pointed up, arms out and up then reach to their toes, hold for about 30 seconds and repeat 2 or 3 times.
3. Sit with one leg straight out, no bent knees, and the foot of their other leg against there inner thigh of the straight one. Make sure there toes are pointed up and have them reach to the straight leg and hold. Repeat for each leg.
4. Stand one foot in front of the other, back foot facing out a bit, no bent knees then put their arms out then up and reach down to your front foot and hold. Repeat for other leg.
These are all groundbreaking techniques known as “Hamstring stretches” I think the Dolphins should try them. Maybe I’ll break down some “groin stretches” in another thread later on.
