How high was Fiedlers winning percentage when he was QB?

umm 10-5 11-5 7-3 8-4 1-6?

I think that's right, that would be 37-23 which is 62%

if you don't include 2004 it's 68%

Too bad thats not an official NFL stat. Victories are team based and a Qb's win loss record is more an indication of thier team and not them.

Fiedler finished his Dolphins career with 66 touchdowns and 63 Ints. He threw one TD and seven Ints in three post season games with the Dolphins.

Our defenses n ricky wont those games...most of em..ill give ihim few games..

At 1 time he had a better starter record than,
McNabb,Brady,McNair, warner, but still when it mattered he would just choke.

00 playoffs against the Raiders.
We drove down thier throat after stoping them.He is right there to take the lead.He throws right to Tory James.
6 the other way. That was what killed are spirits.
If we wouldve scored that game would have been diff.

Remember it well. A qb who did enough not to lose in the regular season but could not do it in the playoffs. Serviceable qbs will do that for you and nothing more unless you get lucky. Franchise qbs win in the playoffs regardless of the odds. Our history with qbs over the past decade allows us to cherish the memories of Dan and Griese all so much.

I can agree on Griese but Marino wasn't any better than Fielder when it came to post season play and the fact that he never won a Super Bowl is enough to prove my point.

Marino only really won in the playoffs once and that was in 1984 I belive. After that it was usually one playoff game and out, we never really contended in the playoffs with neither QB Marino or Fielder.

I could sit here and give you all of the excuses that all of us DolFans use in order to justify our teams inability to win the big game but i'm not.

The only thing i'm going to say is that neither QB was given the opportunity to compete with a complete team, so to me it is the organizations fault for this 30 + year non championship winning drought that this team is currently under. It is the coaches and the organization that has to put the pieces of the puzzle together to win a Championship and our F.O has fail to do that time and time again. Hopefully this new system changes all of that but Fielder and Marino both failed because in their time as the QB of the Fins we were always missing certain pieces of the puzzle.

To win in the playoffs, typically, you gotta be able to run well. We've never had that (in this generation). Servicable QBs can get the job done, if you can run the ball to take the pressure off (Dilfer). We had the running game that year but ran the wheels off Lamar Smith in the game against the Colts (40 carries / 204 yds.) The Raiders had a week off and frankly we didn't stand a chance. We blew our load in the Wild Card game and were beat before we even took the field.

Yeah right dude, it took Lamar Smith 40 carries and 208 yards to overcome Fielders 3 interceptions in our only playoff win with him over Indy, he was a mediocre QB who would and never will win anything significant for an NFL team.

All of you pups that think now reflect on the Fiedler years with warm memories of greatness make me laugh.

Oh, and Marino won a lot of playoff games, including getting a mediocre Dolphins team to 3 AFC Championship games and 1 Superbowl.

Marino led us to 10 playoff seasons, only 3 were one and out.

well, he was 7-1 against the bills i think. maybe 7-0 if he didnt start that last game. cant remember.

Marino's 10 playoff seasons + Fielder's 3 playoff seasons = 0 Super Bowl wins

My point is that the QB's that we have had here in the past were not given the opportunity to suceed with the cards they were dealt. Marino had no RB or Defense, Fielder had no offensive line or WR's.
