let see what cleo's got against the pats. The pats are going to roll out, i think, the backups so let see what everybody's talking about with this cleo lemon guy. Rumor has it that he impressed his coaches, so lets see. what does this game mean...nothing.:dolphins:

Be careful Bro you might get pelted for this. I have brought this up already, and you will get everything from Lemon sucks, to Lemon can play in the spring if he is still in the mix. It was fellow brother CalDolFan10x14 that brought this up, and it got ugly. Good luck Bro!:)

I dunno, what's the point of evaluating a player over one game? It won't tell us much. I wouldn't mind Sage going since we've actually SEEN him 2-3 times this year and this game could show us more, and Gus is hurt, but I don't see what the point is.

Why would the Patriots be rolling out backups? The Patriots are not locked into their #4 seed, they can still become the #3 seed if Cincy loses and they win tonight and against Miami.

The question becomes, does it benefit them to be #3? Pittsburgh would be the 6 seed as of today, but Jacksonville would be the #5, and they'd either have Garrard or a rusty Leftwich at QB.

i agree with that.... if your gunna play anyone but gus at QB its sage, he deserves at least a shot at showing some teams he can play, especailly since he might not be with us next year it can give him a good opportunity to show some teams such as NO, Oakland, Arizona, Detroit and so on

sure, put the rookie kid in against what may be the front seven in football... yea, let's set the kid up to fail...

Marty I wanted to see him in there in the Tennesse game if it was a blow out in mop up duty, and the same goes for the New England game. I just don't want to hear the same crap next year, well he did well against the third stringers in a pre-season game. They will be same people that are down on him now, saying he never has had time in a real game that matters!

..and had we not come out flat in the second half we might have seen him... We will learn nothing if we put him in a situation to fail.

I want to win. Even if it's meaningless.

9-7 is so much nicer than 8-8.

There is no reason NOT to play either. we have lemon and if we are drafting a qb we need to see who stays around. we KNOW that gus is gonna stay as the veteran qb on the team blah blah. And we all know we are not keeping four Qb's on the roster. So how do we know who to keep? Sure weve seen some glimpses of sage, but is it enough to say he gets the nod to stay over lemon. We used a pick on lemon of next years draft already and although we all know it was a cap position as well...wouldnt cutting him waste that pick? Either way id say play either or both of them just to see what they got...

What kind of evaluation are you going to get in a week 17 matchup under non-optimal conditions? Like I said, perhaps playing Sage wouldn't be a bad move because we've had a few games to see his material, and this could tell us more about him, but you aren't going to learn anything about Lemon in a meaningless week 17 matchup in the snow. Maybe if there's garbage time, but not otherwise....

Besides, I want to freakin WIN. This is the last game of the year, dammit!

Yes Marty, I saw that. I will check with Nabocane and see where we sit on that, and if there is a shortage i will make it right. Thanks, John;)
