It's not that far fetched really. In NE, he's Bill's #2 and always will be. Bill calls the shots and will continue to do so for as long as he pleases.
If we gave him the director's chair here, and let him run the show, he very well might jump at the opportunity. I'm not saying it's likely, but it's not something that should be dismissed either.

I dont think its that far fetched at all!! We can offer him something the Pats cant with Bill there....to run his own show....to be his own man. And make lots of money in the process. He'd be coming to an organization that is down right now. Get it turned around and he'd be a God here.

Let's be honest here: Rick Spielman would be an improvement over this coach with total control bull****. In fact, he was back in 2004 but the extremely poor coaching got him re-demoted and then eventually he was canned.
Pioli sounds fine with me if he can be gotten. If not, hire the best guy available. I doubt it's Randy Mueller, but I'm okay with it if he's the only guy on the market.
If Pioli is a possibility, Wayne should consider Tom Heckert Jr. He has ties to this organization and is in the same situation Pioli is in -- he's GM by title but does not have control.
