In Ross' most critical moment as owner, he failed to close on Fisher, bypassed McCoy and selected Philbin to lead the Dolphins out of darkness - with (at best) mixed returns...
Joe Philbin's record as Dolphins head coach is 22-23 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/PhilJo0.htm)
Jeff Fisher's record as Rams head coach is 20-24-1 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/FishJe0.htm)
On paper, they have similar mediocre results. However, there are a few things to note.
In recent weeks, Fisher's rams have been crushing opponents, while Philbin's Dolphins have been floundering. Fisher's teams always seem tough and prepared, Philbin's often look bewildered and mentally week.
I know there are many who are glad that Fisher ultimately spurned Ross, but in hindsight has your opinion fluctuated at all? Do you believe the Dolphins would be better off today with Fisher at the helm?

- Philbin inherited a better team to begin with
- Fisher hasn't had a healthy starting QB in 3 years (although he does deserve some blame for this)
- Fisher has been in a much tougher division
