He was a respectable defensive coordinator and a 4-3 guy. I'd take him over Coyle in a heartbeat. Another thing...he'd actually take the gig! Something to consider when your team is a raging dumpster fire
 
Please stop these posts because anyone worth a damn isn't going to come here
only to be replaced by the new head coach next season when he brings in HIS coaches/coordinators
 
Why hire Mike Singletary? What has he ever done ? He has already been unemployed for two years, Im sure he will come lol
 
Well lets see. He got a ring playing MLB for possibly the best defence ever assembled. He came up through the coaching ranks and eventually became an NFL Head Coach. Then he ****ed up big time. Want someone who would take this gig for 12 games and for sure do a better job than fricken Kevin Coyle? I nominate Mike Singletary. Might be a crazy thought but after all I am a Dolphin fan...

He has never been a defensive coordinator so no way to say he is better than Kevin. We dont need a guy with head coaching experience as our DC and no team has hired him the past two years so that is probably indicative of what the league thinks of him.

I got nobody, lets just get through the season, hire a damn head coach and have him make a staff.
Hell promote Duffner even though as LB coach he has done nothing just get rid of Nolan because obviously he has lost the players.
We are not signing someone good because at this point the position has little to no attraction

In mArk Duffner's defense we have crap at LB and he did develop Jelani Jenkins its not like Mike Singletary has some stellar resume as a coach.
I just dont think its worth it to being anyone else in at this juncture. In the offseason hire a coach and let him pick his staff. Duffner has actually been a DC before.
I dont want him long term but we are not signing some top notch DC at this point of season.

Actually hiring Ray Horton and Dick Lebeau to come in next year as Head coach and Assistant head coach would not be a bad thing at all. IMO, they are doing the most with the least right now with that defensive talent that they are working with on the Titans squad. If I'm not mistaken, the last I saw, the Titans defense is ranked 6th by the NFL.
