Busy Giants add Holland to defense, sources say
The Giants agreed with safety Jevon Holland on a three-year deal worth $45 million, sources told ESPN.
Then the next three picks after those two were Landon Dickerson, Christian Barmore, and Teven Jenkins. All of whom are better, more valuable players than either of Holland / Williams. The lesson, as always: draft linemen on Day 2.Remember going into the draft hoping JaVonte Williams fell to that pick.
Both guys showed promise in their rookie year.
Williams messed up his leg, and Holland didn't really stand out again.
Went from a possible defensive building block to a guy some fans got annoyed with.
Both guys weren't retained by their respective teams.
Crazy how much the NFL stands for Not For Long in different meanings.
Holland got trucked by a Jets TE (Conklin?) on a crossing pattern at MetLife and sprained both knees, This was 2 years ago and he hasn't been the same since. This year he really showed us his matador side and looked like he would do anything not to take or make a hit. I took Holland's side when he took some shots at Vic Fangio but the old DC got the last laugh. Holland isn't as good as he thinks he is.Remember going into the draft hoping JaVonte Williams fell to that pick.

He will enjoy playing on that shite field 8-9 games a year.Holland got trucked by a Jets TE (Conklin?) on a crossing pattern at MetLife and sprained both knees, This was 2 years ago and he hasn't been the same since. That field he's now going to call home is awful, the league and both NY teams know it's a disgrace but nobody is rushing to fix it. Probably should have taken the Minny offer but perhaps he likes Flores as much as he does Fangio.
