Yeah, I'm a homer and I've noticed some of my comments to other members have gotten a little snarky, just keepin' myself in check.

Losing sucks but we're all fans of the same team here.

It has been like this since the beginning of the internet... It will be like this for eternity.

My inner homer and inner skeptic are battling furiously now. My inner homer says to give the coaching staff more time. My inner skeptic says that's what I said last year after we were embarrassed by the Patriots at home. I dunno.

At least this game wasn't an embarrassment like last year, at least I don't think so. As I've mentioned in other posts, I think most teams would have come away from that game with the same results the Dolphins did.

The Dolphins were in it until the 4th QTR. There are no moral victories but the Dolphins didn't lose like the Colts, Chiefs, Falcons and Steelers did, those were embarrassments. Two of those teams will still make the playoffs.

The Patriot just found a weakness and exploited it. Can't completely fault Sparano and Nolan for being out-coached by one of the best (probably the best) coaches in the league and at least Daboll came ready to attack. As for the conditioning, a lot of teams were suffering the same problems, it's wasn't just the Dolphins. An oversight by the coaches yes, but it wasn't just Sparano.

The defense will rebound and the offense finally, after years, has a pulse.

I couldn't agree with you more. Chad Henne continued what we saw in the preseason (not counting the first game). He commanded the offense while making several nice reads and throws. He did miss a few passes. However, he is showing the progress and promise we all hoped to see. The Patriots are one of, if not the best, teams in the entire league. We were in it all the way until that failed goaline play. If the offense continues to improve and we can run the ball, we will compete in every game. I mean...come on, the defense can't possibly play any worse than it did last night! Can it?!?!
