Honestly, if I Were the New GM…

Yeah that’s a crock of ****.
The "crock of ****" is that the Dolphins had three Round 1 picks in the 2020 draft and chose to use the first one (#5 overall) on Tua. They were competing against themselves for drafting him, just like 2 years ago when no other team was interested in signing him they gave him a new multi year, multi hundred million dollar contract.
Remember, back in 2020 the Dolphins had the first round number 5, 18, and 30 picks, any one of which could have been used to select Tua.

That’s laughably false. Tua was widely considered neck and neck with burrow until the hip injury. Even afterwards he was considered a lock to go top 10 with a realistic floor of LA at 6.

I don’t disagree the extension was a mistake. Should have never gave it to him. But tua the prospect was considered to be one of the better QB prospects of the decade. Especially before the injury.

Yea hindsight we were all wrong. Same here I was for tua as well. Fist pumping and celebrating draft night
Well we did t know he liked Cheetos golf and spam sandwiches so much when he was drafted

Back in 2020 the guys thinking Tua would be a Top 10 draft pick are probably the same guys who this year thought Shedeur Sanders would be a Top 10 draft pick.
My best guess is that the Dolphins probably could have drafted Tua with one of their 2020 2nd round draft picks.

lol

Who is "we"?
Prior to the 2020 draft it seemed like the whole world except for Ross, Grier and a dozen Dolphins fans knew that Tua at best was to be a late 2nd round or round 3 draft pick.
Lies

You really shouldn’t just lie about things that are so easily disproven.

Could be. Sayin and Smith could go back to back.

My main draft objective in April would be to get an additional 2027 first.

If the Giants want Waddle, I thought it made sense for them to give us a 2027 first instead of 2026, which would be easier for them to stomach.

I would say no one was wrong about Tua, he's had plenty of success that has been derailed by multiple injuries and playing behind crap offensive lines. All of this cumulating into whatever terrible QB play we are seeing in 2025.

A better example of everyone being wrong would be QB's like Zach Wilson and Trey Lance, those guys had plenty of believers and have been useless in the NFL

We've gone over this before, so you and others here please stop hanging your hat on the Chargers. To help Grier save face, Telesco was giving Grier a professional courtesy.
Sure he was.

The Colts, Raiders, Panthers, and even Detroit were all reported to be interested in Tua if he was there during their pick.

The Lions ended up trading for Goff, however, and picked Jeff Okudah at #3.

The Patriots and Saints were also interested.

Your pathetic attempts are boring. Tua was a top QB candidate in 2020. Sure, there were injury concerns, but teams overlook things like that all the time. Numerous injured or formerly injured players are drafted each year.

This is a two years accumulation project so I’m good with anyone who wants to give up 2027 assets
