What a hit. Loved that guy watching the fins hasn't been the same since he left

Do that against the Pats now and it'll be multiple penalties and fines.

For sure. The announcer says it was helmet to helmet. Watch it closely looks like he hit him below the helmet to me, just hit him like a missile.

Ya full speed kinda looked like a helmet hit (and the WR leaned down into it), but in the slow-mo's it's obvious it was shoulder.

Helmet to helmet or not. It's legal, he's not a RB lowering the crown of his helmet, a defensive player leaving his feat and lauching himself, nor was the WR defenseless. That was a clean legal hit.

So awesome. I remember being real young and my dad jumping around the house screaming after that hit.

My personal fave was when he KO'd Laverneous Coles.

Yeah right. Zach earholed that guy. He'd get fined for that hit today.

These days the idiots would call it an illegal hit, give the Pats a 15 and a first, and fine Thomas 25K...

Read the thread after my post and see many thought the same as I...this league is becoming a joke...

I remember that was Jimmy Johnson's first game as head coach, and the Dolphins earned the cover of SI for that game(see below). All the fans were going crazy for Zach because of the hype he was getting. I went to the Sunday night football game a couple weeks later in Arizona and made my sister, who was going to school there, take a "Marry me Zach!" sign! Those were the days, young and optimistic about everything. I really thought JJ was going to get us a ring.

I love the Friday Night Lights speech in the background. Great movie and an even better book IMO.

I don't get the Michael Johnson part though. Thomas was just the opposite of him; a modest over achiever who worked hard even when he was not winning.
