I got to start with the defense...up 17 11:30 left in the 4th i dont care if the offense gains another yard you have to be able to shut down that one dimensional offense

we have to be better than that...period

anyways jelani jenkins is playing on one leg...miami has to go to hewitt as the starting weak backer...jenkins is a liability right now

kiko had a rough first half in space play but this dudes nose for the football cannot be undervalued...hes now given us 4 fumble recoveries a forced fumble 2 int and a pick 6 game winner at that and a help tackle today on the final play...you kidding me we havent seen that level of playmaking from the mike position in the last 10 years combined!

byron maxwell with yet another strong game...play like that i will leave you alone...the first down slant route coverage play with 5 seconds left was the best play by a corner miami has had all year...that was textbook...

very one dimensional football team i figured miami would adjust to the zone read and shut that offense down...didnt happen...kaep played his best game of qb since he had the best o line and defense in football years ago before his limitations were exposed

speaking of qb play ryan tannehill was TOP SHELF today...period...he threw seeds all over the place...2 of his tds were highlight qb play material...split 2 defenders for an absolute dart td to sims on 2nd and 16 and then the most boss throw i have seen all year in a season already chalk full of them id'd cover 2 and threw a back shoulder bullet to stills not leading him into contact but before the safety can arrive for a walk in td...absolutely boss...used his legs to gain first downs took more contact as a ball carrier than id like to see but good luck changing his mindset

san fran came out hell bent on stopping the run i saw safeties all over the los as a result miami absolutely gashed them off pa in the first half..a clinic really

that said so much pa left tackle play has to be better...lost a td on a quick pressure off pa 2nd and 3 landry wide open qb has to bail...next week even we cant live off pa like we did today so left tackle play one on one must be better...left tackle and right guard i thought were suspect today...bushrod trending down the last 2 weeks

needless to say dvp we need a good report on...such a catalyst for this offense...everything is right in the world when hes the alpha juice as the #2 and stills benefits as the #3...hoping thats just precautionary mission critical for at baltimore and the final stretch run

that kid jumps out of the damn gym...fantastic full extension deep ball catch...a great fade throw and catch just unlucky really not to get a knee down...another great climb the ladder catch overturned...no one in the league high points a football better than that kid...get right dvp...

tannehill throwing the ball down the field this year at an elite level...if the ball hits the ground its an exception right now...keep proving em wrong son...

dion sims with a couple negative plays that set us back today...one in the run game another in pass pro at the end of the half...lines up inside the formation cannot drop the head and whiff on the lb there...gase wise to let the clock run and take it to the half

i also liked the draw call on 3rd and 9 at the 150 mark...some teams will make you pay for putting it on the d late but i think gase said today vs this qb and offense we will ride with vjs unit

7 and 4 taking the season in quarters as i always like to do a 1 and 3 start followed by a 3 and 1 2nd quarter and a 3 and 0 3rd quarter to date and winner of 6 straight...impressive...you want to be playing your best ball in december and miami has put itself in position to play games that matter the last 5 weeks

really need tunsil and ideally albert back next week headed towards a barn burner of a road game with 2 teams thinking playoffs...i will be there in person and i honestly cant wait...finally get to see this team with real staying power and not flash in the pan or smoke and mirrors driving it

why not us folks? Why not us? After today we are the 6 seed...anything can happen when you are this well coached

You need to post a recipe for us. How about Christmas Cookies? You got anything?

Nice write up
I totally agree on Jelani Jenkins...he is a total liability right now. He cant run, is slow in coverage and is missing way too many tackles
Any thoughts of the play calling/clock management on the offenses last two series? I thought it was really bad. Not only did you leave time on the clock you also saved SF from using a TO. I was not happy
That 4th and 15 play where we could have ended the game but instead dropped Wake into coverage was beyond baffling...head scratcher

The one scramble where Tannehill turned the corner and picked up 10 yards for a 1st down...I never thought he would get the corner like that...and accelerate. Surprised the heck out of me.

Tannehill was great all day. Escaped the pocket when he felt pressure to extend plays. Made absolutely great throws. Took off and ran for first downs. He made one bad decision in throwing that one pass he shouldve just tucked it, lucky it wasnt picked off but other than that he made great decisions all day. He really was great today.

Like the announcers said 3 step if he doesnt like it on the stills route he should just throw it in the ground

That ball wasnt as risky as the announcers made it out to be frankly but you dont double pump on 3 step...most the time the rush will get there...ball must come out

Learning opportunity for gase to reference in film study

I didnt like the zone wake drop either on 4th and 15...im sure vj figured kaep wouldnt read the field enough for it post snap

Still you bring gap conscious pressure there and force the ball out

Kaep mostly had tight end tunnel vision

This team has a lot of heart nothing is easy in the NFL nothing is given it has to be earned and this team is earning it , that being said we need Tunsil and Pouncey bak next week because Suggs can ruin the game by himself this team has been a thorn in our side no Better time then now to to end it and take control of our destination ... it was not pretty but it don't have to be proud of this team !

Yeah suggs on the edge and that interior dline vs the run game is a bad recipe for miami as things stand o line wise

And dvp if he cant go makes this offense much more average in terms of threats

And baltimore has that tempo on offense if need be to give our d problems...among other things

Thx Hoops. No mention of Bobby McCain? Perhaps one of his best games as a Dolphin. Bobby competed hard all day. Sometimes he gets beaten but full marks to Vance Joseph on developing the DBs.

Tannehill is playing lights out, we have a very nice set of young skill position players on offense, and our pass rush has gotten better.

We desperately need to be more consistent on D and we NEED to get Albert and Tunsil back in Baltimore.

This team has burned me way too many times, but if we win next week I'll be expecting playoffs.

Get hype folks, we have relevant December football.

Bobby mccain had one play i thought was really high level...he avoided the lineman on the screen and made a tackle and lost his helmet on a play without max effort he doesnt make

Full credit to him there...that was going above board really

But i still see some ehh things there...miamis riding with him...seems to be michael thomas is mostly specials these days

It's been fun watching the team play hard for 60 minutes each week and winning 6 in a row since who knows when. Having said that, our defense has hole all over the place and they need to play way better next week on the road facing a much better team than they faced today. SF got over 400 yards on offense? The defense almost costed us that game. The pass rush mostly comes from Wake and it disappears on a regular basis. They also ran on us pretty easy. Things are about to get harder now. Our defense has to step up and we need the o-line healthy as right now we can't run it either and having to pass to win every single week will start to catch up to us. Hope Tunsil, Albert and Parker are back healthy next week.

Ozzy rules!!

Nice write up. We def need Tunsil and Albert back. Any chance Pouncey is back next week? Our defense needs to come to play.
