At a recent spring football practice, Tray Allen picked up Emmanuel Acho on a blitz and blocked the charging linebacker out of the play.
After the whistle blew, they both started laughing.
Allen, the Longhorns' senior offensive lineman who missed all of last season with a foot injury, is happy to be back.
"Emmanuel always gets us on those blitzes, but I got him that time," Allen said. "I'm just pulling and blocking and running and laughing on blocks. It's just a joy to be out there."
For Texas' offensive line — and definitely for Allen — fun and laughter were two missing commodities in 2010.
