I want to comment on how bad Vernon Carey, Ronnie Brown, Schulters, and Reggie Howard are. First off, Reggie Howard plays corner like a grandma on her walker. He slip, falls, and cant handle zone coverages. Vernon Carey is just flat out horrible, how many false start and blown assigments did he have?? Seemed like everything the Jets brought was coming from his side or every potential drive we had was brought back because of him. Schulters on a 3rd and 20 commits a pass interference which allows the Jets to just drive down field for a TD pass from spaghetti armed Pennington. And then for Ronnie, I know Im going to catch some heat for this but he just is so inconsistent. He lacks the vision a running needs to shine in the NFL. I know he's young and everything but he's getting paid the big bucks to make plays and he just isnt doing that. Come on now, Sammie Morris is picking up more yards than him on less carries. Just shows the best back out of Auburn is CADDIE. As I said, Im sure I'll catch some heat but I just had to share my views on this horrible game where the end result was yet again another loss to the freaking Jets.

lol sounds like ure expectations are too high

Im not ready to say ronnie is a bust yet, but i dont like how he isvery hesitant and thats the differnce we saw in this game between sammie morris and ronnie brown, morris put his shoulders down and hits the hole hard as soon as he gets the ball, brown gets the ball and seems to wait then dance and i agree he doesnt seem to have to vision to know where he is going it seems like he is looking too much instead of just running the ball

you know that vernon careys number 72 right? and not 77....

i didnt think carey played that bad. Brown really didnt get enough carries to make a difference...we threw 43 times for christs sake. I agree about howard, but thats it.

How about the over rated Chris Chambers who can't make a ctach if his life depended on it. This guy will never see a 1,000 year.

anyone else's thoughts on those players?? Ronnie, Vernon, Schulters, and Howard??

I think Ronnie still needs work. He's not a slasher like Caddie, but when he gets his shoulders square, he can run over tacklers very well. I think with him holding out, and not being able to practice with the team has slown down his progress. Eventually, he'll pay off....

As for Carey, he looked fine to me. The OL as a whole looks stronger than 2004, and there's still some room to grow there as well. This is simply just another area that needs time to improve. They should show improvement as the season progresses. Carey should eventually become one of our studs up front, and he's getting his feet wet this year.....

S L. Schulters hasn't been great, but he hasn't been horrible either. Was I expecting more??....absolutely, but I'm not ready to replace him. This defense as a whole looks very solid after just two weeks. It will improve more as the players get more comfortable with their schemes. There's alot of new faces on this defense as well which can cause a slower development. They look better than I was expecting to be honest....

DB R. Howard was schooled yesterday. I have no idea where his head was, but it wasn't in the game. He seems to be one of those DB's who you can't read. One week he does well, and the next he gets burned. He plays alot like T-Buck use to IMO. I'm not sure how Saban will adjust to him having a poor game, but we really don't have anyone who can replace him....

PHINZ RULE!!!

its just a jets curse we have. i mean we look like we were going to put together a drive, and then we couldnt catch the ball. we couldnt run the ball, piss poor performance. we gave penny all the freakin time in the world to throw the ball. ronnie brown does not look like a RB, he looks confused. just disgusting!!:fire:

i think shulters has been playing well in our secondary, i think that pass interference call was some bull, he hit him when the ball got there and knocked the ball out, thats what a safeties supposed to do... and how can you say he sucks just cause of that one play?

Sorry but I have to disagree. ITS THE SECOND GAME OF THE SEASON! RELAX! Some people hit the panic button way too early. Give Ronnie some time, our O-Line still sucks regardless of what everyone says so thats obviously not helping him. I think Schulters has played pretty good considering he hadn't played in over a year. You need to chill man, and do you really need to keep bumping the thread every ten minutes to get "more thoughts on those players". Geez...chill man

Yea ..me... Ronnie is so far and UNTIL he proves otherwise a big let down... and I don't care who disagrees. You can deny it and make all the lame *** excuses you want to. But you could put Fuc*ing Travis Minor in there and he would show up Ronnie Brown, I'm not saying this is the way he'll always be but it is how he is ( I hope he proves me wrong. I REALLY DO ). I don't expect him to be Priest Holmes after two games but he looks so average if not below average. All I can say is I can't wait for Ricky to come back. The passing game went nowhere because we had no running game and mostly because Chambers couldn't catch a COLD. And I like Chambers but that MF is really starting to piss me off. I... like a lot of other fans am VERY disappointed in some players on this team ( They ARE better than that ). But we also have to tell ourselves like everyone was telling us after the first game" This is only one game" (that we've lost). And there will be more,I just hope they learn from them and improve. I've said my peace.

I don't even have the energy to reply to this. Ronnie lacks the vision a RB needs in the NFL? After 8 quarters you feel this way already?

:Sigh:

Wow your an angry little elf aren't you. :yoda: I was as disgusted with yesterdays game as the next person but to be refering to a player as a bust after 8 qtrs of football is freaking crazy. Honestly the book is still out on Vernon Carey and he has an entire season under his belt. have a few beers relax and think about it or a few days.
