If Saban is firing nearly the entire coaching staff, it appears to me that he won't hesitate to clean house with the players either. He may just trade away several key players as many have suggested here and pick up draft choices.

Just because he is hiring his own coaches doesnt mean tht he will be doing the same with the players... he might, but who really knows.

I think there is a bloodletting coming. I found the comments Saban made about division in the locker room interesting. He may be somewhat relucant to keep many of the Wannstedt cadre around.

i think there was too much talk coming out of the dressing room.... especially after Bates took over. IMO after a 4-12 season... i dont know how you can expect any coach to stay. Theres a virus on this team that has mamaged to underachieve our talent. Change is good.

Although I like Bates (I met him in '99), I think that he along with the rest of the JJ/DW era need to go!

We need a complete make-over on the coaching staff

Saban will be somewhat more restricted in letting players go than he is in firing coaches by the salary cap. Some may still get the axe, but he isnt going to completely clean house and have to endure the cap nightmare that would cause.
