I wanted to see how the Texans fair against the rush. After all that is one of our best strenghts. Well, The Texans are 26th in the league against the rush. They have allowed a total of 139.8 yards a game and 8 TDS and 32 first downs. I hope this little stat helps us get a victory this sunday and seriosuly hope our players do not over look the Texans.

Sparano you better keep this boy at a high intensity.

yeah, but when you face a winless team you have to be careful.
They are scratching for a win this week.

Also, I missed the game this past weekend, but saw the highlights...
On a few runs I saw, Ronnie was straight-up running people over.
tough kid to bring down.

yea we will have a field day against them, their defense sucks

I dont want to get to excited, the Texans have always beat us and hopefully this is the year we beat them. I wonder what is Penningtons record against Houston and I im praying our rushing attack keeps going. Two straight 100 yard games for Ronnie.

im not worried about us running on them, im worried about them running on us.

I thought Steve Slaton would be a backup in the NFL, but here he is making plays. We NEED to stop him.

you know what I like better than two 100 yard games?

6 TD's in 4 games. :hi5:

Our rush defense is ranked 8th in the league and we are allowing 3.3 yds per carry. You never know in the NFL, but we just stopped Sproles and LT and Im sorry that was not easy to do. I dont care who is saying LT was injured he was not injured against the Raiders.

Here is another little stat Penington is 2-0 against the Texans with 3Tds and 1 INT.

Anything can happen, but if you can stop LT, you have at least the confidence that you can stop anybody....let's see the D put it into action.

The Texans defense doesn't suck. They have been struggling against the run though. I'm looking forward to 100 yard, multiple TD games for Ricky and Ronnie. Let's go R&R express!!!!

This game worries me as we always seem to play down to our level of competition. I remember losing to the Texans in a season opener a few years back. They have a decent running game with Slaton and they were able to score a lot of points on the Colt's defense. I would focus on running the ball on the Texan's pretty weak run defense. Then have Chad throw the nice safe 10-15 yarders to Fasano, Ginn and Bess. This is a team we should beat easily.

But that's my point. This defense cannot overlook steve slaton because hes not LT. Everyone knows who LT is, and out defense wanted to shut him down bad. (and they did) But they may not have that chip on their shoulder the way they did against the chargers.

This is a trap game (i can't beleive we're good enough to be in a trap game again:lol:) We have to be ready.

Rest assured this stat will help us, but it's going to be interesting to see just how much. The Texans won't be a walk in the park.

I totally agree that we cannot overlook the Texans. This is the NFL and on any given Sunday you never know, but the stat is real nice and Ronnie had a great game last year against them.

They have a decent running game with Slaton and they were able to score a lot of points on the Colt's defense.

Just because they are the Colts doesn't mean they have a good defense. The Colts biggest weakness is their rush defense. Alot our giving praise to Slaton for rushing all over the Colts, but in reality the Colts rushing defense is horrible they are 32nd in the league. Im not saying Slaton sucks Im just saying he rushed well against a horrible run defense.

Now Slaton did rush real good against the Titans who have a real good defense, but they are 11 in the league against the Rush. We are eighth in the league. Like I said we will see, but I will not give my Fins the guarantee win against Houston. Everytime I have done that we have lost. So hopefully we get the Monkey of our back this year.

Its still too early to look at those stats and I expect a Texans team that will try to prove a point,so the fins need to be very focus and play great football and forget stats, also remember we were favorite against them in the past and lost all the games against them.

Exactly, The Texans are motivated. i guarantee you they are looking at us not like a 2-2 team that just beat the 2 teams who played in the AFC championship game. I bet you they are looking at us like a former 1-15 team. They think we're likely beatable. They are going to bring the heat.. especially at home.

On the flip side this is a game that can entrench the Phins in the minds of the NFL. After what we accomplished the last 2 weeks this should be a game we take hands down. With the Ravens coming up then the Bills this is a very important game.

The Texans will definately be tougher with Shaub(Sp?) behind center. Andre Johnson is going to give our secondary fits. Trust me.. they're going to go long ball often. Mario Williams will get constant pressure. A good test for our Oline.

Should be interesting, but by no means a walk in the park.
