Bryant McKinney and Devin Hester are available and both have expressed a desire to play for the Dolphins. McKinney played well for us last year in a pinch. To me, he would be the perfect backup to Albert on the left side and he could push whatever rookie we draft on the right side. Hester would make our special teams a huge threat. We may even keep Thigpen and have them both lined up deep. If an opposing kicker does not kick the ball out of the end zone they are in trouble. Imagine the threat opposing kickoff teams would have to prepare for each and every game!

Hester is an upgrade over Thigpen, and McKinney is good insurance and would also allow Albert to play some at left tackle. ...in case we cannot plug the hole.
I would sign both of them as long as their demands are reasonable.

Report: Devin Hester visiting the Falcons today

The Bears made it clear they didn’t want Devin Hester to return, now he’s looking for someone to return for.

According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, the veteran return specialist is visiting the Falcons today.

Hester has said he has “at least 15 teams,” interested, and he’s looking for the right fit.

He’d make an immediate impact for the Falcons in the return game, and they don’t have the kind of personnel needs that would require him to even try to do anything else.

As a Cane fan I like both of them but McKinney has never played RT so he may go elsewhere as well.
Another kick return specialist who I would be interested in is (gulp) Ted Ginn.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed them both but the again I wouldn't be disappointed if we didn't. :idk:

McKinney is done. He is below mediocre, and should be looked at as such. He has no history at RT. FH pipedreams abound here.

This roster isn't built yet to allow for a specialist.

Hester is more of a name than anything at this point. He may or may not be upgrade over Thigpen but I hate using a roster spot on someone who offers nothing outside returns especially with the numbers of touchbacks now. They would have to be spectacular...and Im not sure Hester is that guy anymore.
