The Jaguars have also wasted a lot of WR playing time on Matt Jones and Reggie Williams, both top 20 picks who have been given every chance to play ahead of Wilford. Wilford has been a solid #3 WR for Jacksonville, and has the potential to be more than that. If we were to sign him, he'd be the best WR on our roster, so how anyone can say he's not an upgrade is beyond me. Ted Ginn, at 178 lbs, may never have the size/strength to be a top productive starter in the NFL. Terry Robiskie, who loved Ginn coming out of college and coached him for us, said that Ginn is a long strider and has problems being quick in small spaces. If he can't improve that, then he'll never be anything more than a deep threat. Right now, we do not have a starting caliber WR on our team. Signing Wilford would be a step in the right direction. But, if we do sign Wilford, I hope he's our 2nd best free agent WR signing. I would really like to see Bryant Johnson. He's been a productive guy, but has been stuck behind Boldin and Fitzgerald. I think we could lure him here with the promise of letting him compete to be our #1 WR.
