How about Favre?

I just read an interesting article on msnbsc

Maybe this is what we need Have Favre here for a year to amek a run at the title and have him groom a oung QB for the future.

What do you think?

He already said he wasn't even going to help groom Rodgers what makes you think he is going to want to come here and groom a QB?

Gus Frerotte looks better than him at this point...

holy crap, what a Farve love fest. I love how no one points out that Farve is part of the problem of the Packers.

He was once a great quarterback. Now he is not.

If he comes back next year on a different team that doesn't mean we will not see him in a stinker on Monday night.

Stop with the QB threads my God. If you had any sense you would post in the 40 culpepper threads or the 40 other QB threads.:sidelol:

YA, LET'S HAVE NO THREADS!

Brett Farve would not be a good thing here. The problem with him is he still thinks he is in his prime with his decision making. He even said it himself that he will always be a gun slinger and when you don't have that elite pinpoint accuracy that he once had, being a gunslinger is going to lead to a ton of INTs.

Favre is trying to hard to be the playmaker for the Packers. He makes some horrible decisions and I really don't wanna see him in a Fins jersey. He needs to retire a Packer and get a job as a sports analyst. Maybe he can have Irvin's job after his little fiasco.

Anyway I almost feel bad for Favre. He is definately one of the best quarterbacks of all time but this year is just making him look terrible. Last year did too but he's not playing Favre football. It's time to retire old grasshopper.

:shakeno: ... no, no, no... he needs to stop chasing Marino's records. Favre definitely has had an amazing career but its time for him to hang up his boots and wait for his easy ballot into the Hall of Fame. The guy still has the intensity and drive to play but he just doesnt have the ability anymore. He's been sending up way too many bombs straight into double-coverage recently and just isnt what he used to be. Granted the Packers just flat out suck this year and they've been haunted by all sorts of problems especially in the RB dept like us last year. But a guy needs to know when to call it quits... and I think he finally realizes it esp. after this year where he's going to break his career record for INT's.

Do you guys realize he leads the league in interceptions with 24 and he also has 9 fumbles and has lost 6 of them. That is 30 turnovers!
David Carr has a terrible offensive line (and team in general) and only has 16 turnovers.

Favre has had a great career in all, but it's time for him to quit. He doesn't need to do what Jerry Rice did by playing 20 years in the NFL. If we had a chance to get him, I wouldn't do it because the guy has nothing left in him.
