(Thought that title would get your attention!) :D

With virtually every receiver on our team dropping collectively about a half-dozen passes a game, why not try something new?

I was watching Javon Walker from the Denver Broncos light it up on Sunday Night Football. They showed an interview with him where he practices with half a tennis ball harnessed to the palm of each hand. This forces him to catch the ball using only his fingertips. It both builds hand strength and ensures proper technique.

It was mentioned that's why all their receivers are so good. They can regularly catch the ball one-handed and rarely drop anything anymore. This training tool forces them to catch with their hands instead of their body.

So let's get some and have Chambers, Hagan and Booker each get 100 reps a day with it till they can catch at least 80% of them clean.

Interesting....

Some sort of drill seems necessary...because these untimely drops sure are getting old....add McMike to that list aswell.

Darian Barnes has been doing the same thing this offseason, taking a tennis ball everywhere with him, bouncing it off the sidewalk, walls or whatever is around.

i saw that interview it really works for javon i think our wr's need to do that to because the drop so many balls especally hagan chambers and randy

dont forget Booker...actually Ronnie might have the best hands on the team.

that is a good idea.

It always drives me nuts watching these guys catch with their body.

This could be why Chambers is such a highlight reel. He makes these unbelievable grabs that he has not business in getting, but then when the ball hits him in the chest he drops it.

also did anyone see "American Inventor?" They had a WR catching pole on there that looked like it could work.

wow thats a great idea for training.i hope our recievers get on to that type of drill
